It doesn't matter the fight wasn't going to happen in Dec because when it does happen it'll be a stadium fight with months of promotion behind it But this is a classic HEARN. It is in both Klitschko AND Joshua's interest to promote the narrative that Wlad is ducking Anthony. Wlad is smart enough and humble enough to go along with it. No-one wants to hear that the golden boy (who hasn't fought anyone) is avoiding real fights. He's the cash cow in the heavyweight division so it's better to keep that going - for everyone in the division. Joshua gets to knock out Price, Klitschko gets to outclass Lucas Browne, both have their belts for a potential clash after that where they can make massive money. Sure, they could make big money now, but if Joshua does get knocked out then suddenly the cash cow is gone. Moreover, if Klitschko says that he's keen for the fight and it becomes apparent that Hearn is full of ****, again, the cash cow has no more credibility. great post. Anyone can play the Hearn blame game of what he said ,this and that..at the end of the day it was up to klitchko to agree on the terms and Hearn agreed on everyone of them Depends what the terms Heard agreed to are. Any promoter who doesn't want a fight can simply say "we want a 99-1 split of the revenue" (exaggeration) to get out of it, unless it's a mandatory. That's why the sanctioning bodies actually sticking to their rules is important.

Lucas Browne is an MMA reject. He only went to boxing because he failed at MMA. Just goes to show how low the talent level is in the current Heavyweight division and it shows how Wlad is not an ATG because he keeps taking fights like this.

And for me the most prestigious" Hes also getting paid the same money whether the WBA is there or not, instead hes probably going to face Lucas Browne for the WBA title for far less money. If Wlad agreed terms for a fight with 2 world titles on the line, then that's a different offer than the one he's turning away from now. It looks like he's going to be fighting Lucas Browne for the WBA belt instead, and that's a better option for him than AJ. If Wlad finds he can't pull trigger again, as in the Fury fight, then Browne is the kind of opponent he can survive with and go out on his shield, instead of on his back, which is what would happen if he couldn't pull the trigger against AJ. And he can probably make as much money from Browne as from AJ. It wouldn't be as big a fight financially, but Browne won't be expecting the same kind of purse split as AJ would. I suspect that Hearn knew from the start that this fight wouldn't happen, in the end, and has been using the negotiatiions for PR. Joshua is a superstar in the UK. He doesn't need a dangerous opponent like Wlad to make himself pots of money.

Hearn had no intention of making that fight in Dec He'd be leaving millions on the table with the capacity of the venue. That's a Soccer stadium fight. I loved the way he handled the Eubanks with their stupidity, and the difficulty of dealing with Chris Sr has since been confirmed by Frank Warren. Some people think everything is a conspiracy, but I'd argue that Hearn talking about a fight publicly is part of his job, and also puts a small amount of pressure on the fighter (in this case Klitschko) to follow through.

Why has Eddie Hearn constantly negotiated this fight through the media - that's why i never thought the fight would happen as if you're serious in making a fight you would never fvking do that the car salesman has been exposed yet again!
