Let's assume they meet anywhere between 160-168. Does GGG defeat each of these fighters?
Think about it before you spew out any ole answer....
Does he take at least 1 L.....?
The more i think about it the more i see prime Kessler being the worst style and matchup for GGG
I could see a total domination and GGG suffering a severe canvas licking
GGG would look like he was in a car crash afterwards
exactly. styles make fights. golovkin would just wander around the ring getting slapped and nodding his head like, "yeah, you slapped me." maybe he chins joe, but joe would get right back up and slap him again.
:lol1:
Yea Joe would eat GGG up...
I think he would have been an interesting match with Abraham. Might be the most interesting. A part of me says he outboxes Abraham, but Abraham has power as well and with that shell defense he may have neutralized GGG a bit.
I'd like to know what Kessler and Froch's walking around weight was. I wonder how it compares to GGG's walking around weight.
Dunno what they walked at, but Froch reliably came to the ring within a lb or two of 173,, pretty damn light for a SMW and not far off GGGs fighting weight.
Kessler was a little larger I think, I've seen figures of around 180 - 182 offered but I'm struggling to find anything official to back that up.
Kessler is always one guy that springs to mind when people talk about iron chins. There are weight divisions for a reason and I just don't see how GGG beats him. Froch is closer but I'd have to go with the more proven guy at his weight. Abraham I could see being beat.
I seriously can't see how GGG would be a anything but a huge underdog vs a prime Kessler. His frame is so much bigger, he's a more active fighter, harder puncher or punches just as hard as Golovkin, great chin, great stamina etc.
Don't forget Kessler beat Froch when Froch was in his prime and Kessler was on the slide.
Kessler in his prime would have beaten Froch more comfortably imo. He was a straight beast.
A lot of good points...
I'm quite certain he beats abraham..
Kessler and froch at 168 would be 50/50... I think it's fair to say that froch might be considered a slight favorite.
Kessler could give a lot of problems to GGG behind the jab and his straight shots, especially in the 2nd half, but I think I would still slightly favor Golovkin over him

Froch was a road warrior, I'll give him his kudos there, before later in his career where Hearn built his PPV stock. One thing always begrudges me regarding Froch he got to Bute before Mikkel did. Kessler was ringside for the Johnson Bute fight in Canada and I thoght it was inevitable they were to fight next.
Bute never wanted Kessler. That much was clear. he was lying about it in the press and said he offered him $5million or something.
Kessler rolled around laughing when he heard it :lol1:
He was definitely shook up by Brook a couple of times.
Brook is a welterweight, do that with a monster puncher like kessler and its goodnight.
Bruh you're delusional or blind. Golovkin was just toying with the dude, come on man. Anybody could see that. On a side note, the Sky Sports commentators for that fight were Kell groupies. "GGG wont be able to last that much longer if he keeps taking that face to his fists" , " Those ribs must be hurting Golovkin's hands." Paulie out there setting these bums straight. He was the only one that picked up the bone fracture."Guys he has a broken orbital bone". Not even Bernard or lampley figured out what was up, they didnt even know why the fight was stopped. smdh.
Froch had made his money and was at the tail end of his career when he made that statement. A young, hungry Froch would have fought GGG in a heartbeat, and he would have gone to the States to do it if necessary.
I don't know who would have won, but it would have been an awesome fight!

When the Super 6 first started Kessler was a major favorite to win. Now cats say he was just fighting bums. The irony.
I laugh at your gifs. Do u see GGG moving back or flinching after those shots were landed? No. Why? Cause they werent doing any damage. Do you see him backing up? No. Kell couldnt hurt or move him even when landing flush. Why cant you guys see that he has an iron chin? The problem is not hitting him, it's what are you gonna do once u land and realize this man cant be hurt? That mental pressure takes a toll on his opponents. Another thing is he dictates. The fight will go where he wants it to go. David Lemieux couldnt touch him cause he didnt want to and that boy can punch. The jab busted him up and was ultimately saved by the referee. Willie the mutt tagged him a couple times and people were excited but what I saw was Gennady carrying Willie so the fight would last. Its a show to him after all.

GGG was feeling some of those shots and they definitely moved him. Ultimately he was able to overcome Brook but some of those shots he was eating did move him.
True, but Arthur is a big dude, and he can punch for real. I think we'd both say he's a better boxer than Stephenson, and hits JH just as hard, if not harder. If he can catch GGG, which wouldn't prove to difficult, he can hurt him and possibly finish him
I didn't say GGG couldn't also best them, but that the could all beat GGG as well.
Yep ppl doing threads like this, but lets see how GGG looks at 168 then we can talk if he can beat Kessler or Froch, both very tough SMW with some pop.
Nah Abraham's turtle shell and low punch output lead me to believe that he wouldn't beat Golovkin, stylistically it's a stroll for GGG but what makes it a good fight is when Abraham would punch with him. But if anyone is getting stopped it's definitely Arthur.

When has GGG proved hard to hit? :lol1:
Your whole argument is void.

To say none of them could beat him, especially at a higher weight a completely ignorant. I he could lose by TKO/KO in all those fights. Not an indictment on him, but the size equation.

He would beat Abraham. He is simply too small for Kessler and Froch, even though he's a better boxer than either of them.
The doube standards are strange. Canelo gets away with pretending 1 pound will make or break him in a fight and spends years at 155. Golovkin is just a solid middleweight champion but called a coward for not fighting 6'2" supers and lightheavies.
