First he wanted 2 Quillins or 60-40 split. Then he wanted a tune up and now they need 10-12 weeks.
The whole time the community kept telling Golovkin to make a concession and give him the 40% but for what?
Does Jacobs seriously want this fight? Notice how many demands and excuses he has made thus far. And he sounded so eager to fight GGG too. Had yall fooled.
What will it be next?
Where there's smoke, there's often fire; the issue came and went, but if you have another logical reason why Duva will make such a scene in calling for purse bids, only to walk away, I'd like to know.
Because that move, after all of the talk that went down, was sketch as heck, regardless of whether there's official proof or not.
Pacquiao never pissed dirty or came back with dirty blood, but there was enough going around that folks were rightfully questioning what was up; Pacquiao, at the age of 28, going from super featherweight all the way up to a catchweight in the junior middleweight division, without losing any of his speed/athleticism and taking his power up in weight with him, being the most glaring.
The moment that the initial Floyd fight, as an outsider looking in, fell apart over Pacquiao refusing to have both he and Floyd tested throughout camp, raised enough suspicion with me. You look at the performances after the initial backing off on testing, plus how long it took Pacquiao to be ready to finally test, and he's about as guilty as you could be without the final proof.
The circumstantial evidence for HBO having put their finger on the neck of Main Events is overwhelming, and if they would do that to Stevenson-Kovalev, I have no doubt that they would do the same for Golovkin-Jacobs (people can diss the fight all they want, but do you honestly believe that HBO will let Golovkin risk his belts, and the aura that they've built over the last 3 years, on a rival broadcaster, in clearly his toughest fight as a professional?).
first off, Duva did not call for a purse bid. All she did was to request that Kov be named mando, which was granted. She mistakenly thought that would give her some leverage to deal with Haymon and GYM. She miscalculated and GYM elected not to negotiate and called for the purse bid instead. Duva had nothing to do with it going to bid.
As for the "overwhelming" circumstantial evidence that HBO pulled the plug on Duva, well that statement is laughable. You have ZERO circumstantial evidence. Actually the evidence is to the contrary. Had HBO been in the middle of that deal, they would have given Duva the max number they would go to for the fight, and Duva would have actually went through with the purse bid, and only pulled out afterwards if she was outbid by Haymon. (just like Haymon did on Quillin-Korobov) Whether she pulled out before the bid or after the bid, the end result would have been the same, which was Kov losing his mando status. There was no logical reason for Duva to not at least go through with the bid and see how it went.
Golovkin can't dictate rules in every fight. Jacobs deserves a bigger share. Especially if the fight will be in NY. Don't want to hear he won't bring fans....he will....
Nobody knows how much he was offered. And he can't even sell out vs another NY fighter. Yea, he'll bring fans... His family of 5 I suppose.
that is 1000000% speculation on your part. You have nothing to back up that claim. If you do, then source it. But you dont, so.........

Boy you still reaching for straws. You assume that all contracts are the same. Kovalev isn't the level of star that ggg is, on top of that
The purse bid is already scheduled for October 22nd; within the week, we'll see what's what.

Because HBO has already pulled the card on Main Events, when everyone in boxing had clear interest in seeing Stevenson-Kovalev for all of the belts, forcing Duva to back out of the very purse bid that she, herself, called for.

where do you get this idea that HBO will force one of their most popular fighters to go against his oft-stated goal of being undisputed champion and vacate one of his belts instead of facing a guy he is widely expected to beat? this is at least the 2nd time I've confronted you regarding this blatant misconception

Golovkin has a $10m offer to fight Saul Alvarez already in hand; he and his camp seem to think that that is a short-money offer, yet have done nothing to actually show why they should be worth more.
Staging Golovkin-Jacobs, and creating an event that literally sells out in NYC (no ticket BS) and does massive business on TV (possibly PPV) would be a great move towards justifying a share of the full event; no different than Alvarez, after balking at the initial Mayweather offer, choosing to fight off of Mayweather's undercard, stage his own event in Texas, and have 40k fans come out to see him fight Austin Trout, before going back to the Floyd talks and not only getting the Mexico TV, but also getting a share of the event/PPV (though the talk of coming down in weight to fight Floyd leaving him having to give up a few pounds for the fight).
The WBA purse bid is scheduled for October 22; we will see how that comes about, but if DiBella wins the bid (setting things to give his fighter the full time needed for the fight), I'd hope that K2 doesn't compel Golovkin to give up the belt (or go to the WBA and look for some emeritus status).

No one is scared yet...
"I need a tune up doe."
"I need longer camp doe."
Notice how none of the news reported have said anything about being an issue for money? Instead we get told that they need a longer camp. Go figure.
The purse bid is set for October 22.
Since K2 no longer has eyes on the December 10 date, and things hinging on a belief that HBO will have more money in 2017, we'll see how much money K2 is willing to wager on the hope that HBO actually puts more money into the boxing budget next year (after years of consistent decline).
DiBella is heading into the weekend with Showtime talking up putting up big money for the fight and Barclays Center not much behind that.
Daniel Jacobs is already in the gym, and the winner of the bid has till January 12th to stage the fight (and be in compliance with the current WBA edict).
keep your head in the sand if you want
What in the f*ck? His post had nothing to do with Alvarez or the offer that Alvarez made to Golovkin. Your boy ducked out of the fight and you're trying to divert the attention onto something else... still.

I'm sure some alt is already claiming GGG need to give 40-50%, also a limb & his left kidney blah blah..
Team GGG got cold feet because Team Jacobs were blowing out of their a..
His secret source aka Sherdog was spewing bullsh*t out of his ass too and the Chocha bought into it. Even after his ban is up, I doubt he will even show up until the whole thing is resolved. Or he might just show up and still blame it on GGG. :lol1:
Let's just say the ban was a blessing in diguise for him cause he would not be able to show his face on here. Idk if you saw it but he claimed that Team GGG was getting cold feet (while they were negotiating) :lol1:. Im pretty sure he's around on an alt though. Which is perfect for him at this time cause he would be getting blasted.
