EDDIE HEARN has revealed terms have been agreed for Anthony Joshua's mouth-watering clash with Wladimir Klitschko. The Matchroom promoter is now finalising which titles will be on the line after Tyson Fury vacated the WBO, IBO and WBA heavyweight belts last week. Click Here To Read More]
Negotiate after the fight. Both just start training camp now fight 10 December . have a nice Christmas then do negotiations.
Can't it work like that?
How's hard can it be?
Fury tested positive and the other guy who ran off with one of Klitschko's belts is the opponent. I have no problem with all of his old belts being on the line for this fight, except that I could give two ****s about the IBO.
This.
If Wlad wins Joshua is still a world beater in the eyes of the British ppv paying causal, he just come up against a boxing god. Don't forget Haye was indestructible in the eyes of Brits and Wlad made him look stupid.
I think a lot depends on how he looks. Haye didn't get hit much in that fight and although Wladimir clearly won it wasn't a beat down as such. Also Haye had the 'I moved up from cruiserweight and he was just too big' excuse to help him get over the loss. If AJ gets KOed in a one-sided fight it would be pretty detrimental to his career imo
The young heavyweights all seem to be pushing themselves and wilder is on his al Haymon bull**** chasing an easy check still..
Joshua and Klitschko is a big time fight. good to see the U.K. Taking the baton in putting on big fights.
The U.S. Has completely dropped the ball.

And a b1tch..
I think it's a win win for both, AJ losing to Wlad isn't a big deal to be honest, I make Wlad the favourite going into this fight if it happens now.

This fight is too early for AJ. He hasn't fought any real top level guys and I don't think Klitschko has deteriorated as much as some people think. Klitschko by KO

Klitschko is #2 after Ortiz. Joshua isn't rated because he's the IBF champ.
I understand that, but Ortiz-Ustinov isn't all that bad an alternative (especially with Eddie Hearn having the pull, and relationship with Showtime, to put enough money on the table to clear up the pay/testing issues that derailed the initial talks).
Ortiz gets his two fights, Ortiz-Ustinov gets made for early 2017, followed up with Joshua-Ortiz being a viable option for Summer 2017 (in addition to Wilder-Joshua and Joshua-Parker) would seem to be a more interesting path for the WBA than simply adding the bout to Joshua-Klistchko, having the belt frozen in another rematch situation (with the title consolidation process already underway).
a bit of a delay, and the WBA likely walks away with an even bigger eventual fee (Ortiz-Ustinov in early 2017, Ortiz-Browne/Oquendo for the late Spring/early Summer as I doubt David Haye takes the fight, with Joshua-Ortiz targeted for late 2017, a full four fights into Ortiz's run on Sky Sports).

They don't need the title to sort this fight out, parker and ruiz already got their eye on the WBO belt, which leaves the WBA belt to fight for. So if they really want to get the fight on according to Hearn then the title shouldn't be a deal breaker.
I don't think Hearn said it was a deal breaker. Both sides have agreed to fight and the US TV situation has been sorted. Hearn just wants to wait a few days to see if they can get another belt added to the fight so he can announce everything at once as oppose to announcing the fight then doing other announcements to add in title belts. It's just a preference, he's not saying the fight hinges on another belt being added.
Stylistic wise, I think Fury is still a tougher match-up than AJ. He has an awkward style and has displayed a higher ring IQ as well. I'm not sure AJ can overcome the mountain of experience Wlad has over him. There's nothing awkward or unique about his style, he's just a tank with destructive power, which should be predictable for a vet like Wlad; who - might I add - hasn't fought anyone this inexperienced since 1999. All signs point to Wlad winning by UD.
100% agree on the quoted. Beautiful points.

Why would AJ fight Wlad as a voluntary and no belts on the line? Why would Wlad fight AJ and possibly lose his ranking position with the other sanctioning bodies?
I can think of 30 Million reasons why...
Generous payday for both on 50/50 split.
Ortiz is getting stripped for ducking Ustinov. That will leave 0 champions at heavyweight for the WBA. I bet the WBA gets added to Joshua-Klitschko.
We will see. Politics are politics, but I doubt that they make the move to having two fighters who weren't even rated by the organization fighting for their belt.

Vlad will definitely need to up his game from the previous few times to handle a powerhouse like young Josh. It's just a great matchup, much better than a Fury rematch.
Yeah I agree but it's very hard task for a heavyweight who hasn't boxed for a year and will 41 by fight night, yes m8 it's a great match up and I'm really looking forward to it :-)
