Thats how I always say the Klitschko/Tyson fight play out similar to the Klitschko/Povetkin fight
Great analogy.
Yea, as I keep saying, I love Tyson, esp back in the Kid Dynamite era. But, the science is not in his favor. Watch the way Povetkin (who is much taller than Tyson) tries to get inside and gets shut down repeatedly, and lit up on the outside.

Then, watch the way Douglas controls the distance with Mike. That's Wlad's bread and butter. Those claiming Tyson destroys in the clinch only need to look at the way JBD tied him up and imagine that done by a larger man, who is even better at clinching. Wlad's clinch doesn't just tie you up, it drain the hell out of you because the bastard tries to fold you and fk up your balance and breathing. Tyson vs Douglas wasn't just Mike having an off night, it was a plan that played perfectly against the holes in Tyson's game.
Not to mention that I think Wlad could potentially swallow it. Sam Peter nearly took him out from sheer panic more than anything else. There have been times when it looked like the wind could blow Wlad over, honestly.
I just can't see Wlad's chin holding up against the early onslaught. Tyson was too fast not to land something big in those early rounds, and Wlad is honestly packing pretty much glass. He got shook up by a jab from Pulev, who is basically not good.
I think people overcomplicate this fight.
No disrespect, but I don't see your comparisons lining up. Sanders was 6'4 (to Tyson's 5'10) and the style he used to beat Wlad was to fight tall and eat Wlad's punches in order to deal heavier ones back. Tyson was much, much different. He didn't stand there and eat punches, he slipped and weaved his way in.
A much more relevant fight is Klitschko v Povetkin. They're are a LOT of parallels there, including reach/height, and the way Povetkin tried to work his was in and got shut down repeatedly. I wish I could say Mike would have won this but I don't see it happening.Great analogy.

Wlad by late KO.. This would play out exactly like Lennox-Tyson but the only thing being Wlad will be hurt and will probably go down early.. The transformation In Wlad's game and with Manny in his corner they would break Tyson down round by round and tire him out..
Wtf is this?
This is Iron Mike Tyson who had Cuz D'Amato who IMO was the key guy to unlocking Mike's true potential!
Wlad gets brutalized, too fast, too strong and this is the Mike that used his jab and his head movement at that time would've troubled the fighters he eventually lost to!
Lmfao!!!!!!
Wlad chin 8/10 haha.
Tyson chin 8.5/?! You drunk.
Tyson had a ****ING outstanding chin and Wlad's chin is about a 6/10 at a PUSH!
Wlad skill higher than Tyson SMH!
And I hate Tyson.
Tyson is all wrong for Wlad, he can't try to use his clinching antics because Tyson was a savage in the clinch, Tyson by KO, see the Corrie Sanders fight.
Now Vitali, that man is all wrong for Mike.
I agree! Tyson is all wrong for Wlad, just like Vitali is all wrong for Tyson. Most of Wlad's opponent were shorter than him, but he didn't have an opponent who would use his short height as a strenght against him. They couldn't use the head movement and couldn't cut the distance (so they were sitting ducks for his jab), that exactly what Tyson would do. Even Jennings did well against him every time he used the head movement and fought at close range.
I Brewster can catch Klitschko with a left hook then Tyson will murder him.
Don't forget that prime Tyson had a great jab and broke guys down to the body. There's also no way he drops Klitschko early and Klitschko survives. Tyson is the best finisher in boxing history behind Jack Dempsey or maybe even tied with Dempsey.
Tyson KO 3.
My best guess would be Klitschko by decision. But it's possible Tyson would be worn down by the end of the fight and get KO'd. Tyson would have a hard time clipping Klitschko cleanly enough and often enough to get a decision or KO.

Tyson's weakness was a disciplined boxer and Wlad would be a nightmare for him. Surprised more people here don't realize (or admit) that. The one angle that could help Mike in the first few rounds is the mental factor. Still, between getting jabbed to death and then clinched every time the pressure got heavy, Tyson would struggle and fatigue.
I say that as a Tyson fan who has a half dozen T-shirts.
