It doesn't really matter if he ever was ranked by the WBA. How could anyone argue that having a unified champ is in any way worse than not having one? Of course Joshua is qualified to fight for the WBA as he is a heavyweight champion.
You can say what you want about how he got the title, but the matter of fact is that he has it. And that automatically qualifies him for any and all fights in the heavyweight division.
... obviously...
In the case of the WBA - I'm trying not to gloss over the fact that prior to challenging for the IBF strap, AJ was only ranked 12th by the WBA. By that definition he was still a ways off getting a look in their Org.
I'm not saying I agree with X fighter being considered any better.
And as a side note - AJ's notable career achievement thus far has been buying a title off the worst HW champion in history. But we can save that discussion for another day.
What amazes me, is that it took you this long to actually say something substantial. Seriously, why the fvck waste your time and mine? This place needs more people talking boxing, and less people stroking over their post count and thinking they are witty.
Set a better example dude, there's enough trash posting around here already. Ideally, we need to try and reduce the amount of useless static.

I mean you said the current IBF champ and #5 ranked HW in the world doesn't deserve to fight for the WBA belt :lol1:
The belt recently contested by Fres Oquendo, Lucas Browne and Ruslan Chagaev :lol1: So I think you need to come back to reality.
Also, Joshua isn't ranked by the other orgs as he is a champion. Just some side info.

Probably should cut the smoke and mirrors and just get to what bit you don't understand.
You're talking, but you're not saying much - just petty sh*t.
You wanna talk boxing or act like a tool?

Yeah I can see you are talking complete bollocks.

So is this happening or not? I saw something yesterday about Wlad moving on with or without Joshua.......
It seems that Wlad moving on without Joshua... :)
... I think that the old man doesn't want it...
Yeah I agree. This WBA thing is a bullsh*t reason for this fight not happening.
Wlad has always said that he wants to become undisupted and I think he still does, that's why he wants as many belts on the line as possible. If he wins this fight, he'll go after Parker/Ruiz winner, then Wilder and then maybe Fury if he sorts his sh*t out. I can respect an attitude like that but it's still BS.
That said, this is WBA we're talking about, I'm sure they'd love to sanction this fight and with that much money on the table, I think (or rather hope) they will. Fingers crossed.
I don't know what the problem is. I get that both of them want both belts on the line, but holding it up for that reason is BS. They could have the fight for no belts for all we care.
Well, I don't see Joshua and (especially) Wlad too eager to fight right now... I think it's more about Hearn's wishful thinking.
What do you mean it doesn't seem Joshua is eager to fight? His team says it's literally the only fight they have in their minds for this year with one or two belts on the line, same deal they've already agreed to.
Joshua clearly wants this fight.

Why is it understandable?
In no way should it block this fight from happening yet it seems it does.

sanctioning orgs don't have the champions of rival orgs in their rankings. That's why joshua isn't ranked by them. Wilder isn't ranked by ibf/wba/wbo and fury wasn't ranked by wbc/ibf.
:) ...............................
I don't see what qualifies AJ to fight for the WBA title. He's not ranked by them.
In fact, he's only ranked by the IBF - off the back of buying a title, effectively.
I can see why any boxing org was hesitant to put AJ into a shot for their strap - he'd have to leap frog everyone.
What qualified Wilder's recent foes?
They can shoehorn AJ into the top 10. It depends how much Hearn is willing to pay.
I can see why Wladimir is kicking up a fuss about this, and, frankly, its bizarre that the WBA are wavering on this.
Time is now very much against Wladimir. He's fought once in the last year, and doesn't have the legs to get himself into a mandated position for each of the respective straps.
I see, from the latest IFL interview, that Hearn is pinning this all on Team Klitschko. That's a little unfair, given the many contradictory statements he has made. Both sides should be pushing hard for this fight to be sanctioned.

lol wtf are you talking about :lol1: :lol1:
Hahhahaha
It's understandable that Vladimir wants to add the WBA when fighting a dangerous guy like Joshua. Hopefully that one gets approved too.
Why is it understandable?

I was thinking Vladimir would be qualified for the WBA strap. He's ranked second by that organization.
No doubt he should be in the conversation for that, most definitely.
I just don't see how AJ could piggyback on that, as his only notable achievement so far was buying a belt.
Well, I do see, money talks.
I'll go back to my corner now.
