A lot of people on here don't watch UFC, but this is a stacked card. I decided to take the rankings of all the UFC fighters and go off the Ring to show what this card would look like in boxing. FYI at WW there is no champ so I made Brook champ and moved everyone down. Also Pacquiao is not currently in the rankings since he was taken off after retiring. I made an additional list if you have him at #1. I made this for another thread but once I realized what this would actually look like I decided to dedicate a thread to it since it's crazy.
UFC 205
FW C McGregor vs Alvarez LW C for LW belt. No CW
WW C Woodley vs Thompson #2 WW
SW C Jędrzejczyk vs Kowalkiewicz #2 SW (womens)
#2 MW Weidman vs Romero #4 MW
#5 WW Gastelum vs Cerrone #6 WW
#1 BW Tate vs Pennington #8 BW (womens)
Boxing Supercard
Gary Russel Jr vs Jorge Linares at LW
Brook vs Khan
Jacobs vs Lemeiux
Garcia vs Spence
Boxing Supercard if Pac is #1 @WW
Gary Russel Jr vs Jorge Linares at LW
Pac vs Thurman
Jacobs vs Lemeiux
Bradley vs Garcia
Yeah boxing is better, but looking at this card you can see why UFC has it's supporters.
king used to have stacked cards all the time but he's fallen into obscurity and is finished. I would get rid of al gaymon and put king in charge of pbc we would get the fights we want. LOL just have someone making sure king is not robbing the fighters blind.
Boxing is dead...... In America.
Russian and British cards are usually very entertaining, so worldwide boxing isn't very good right now, but it's not dying either.
Yeah I guess that ones not as great. I've just kind of always used Ring as the standard for some reason. And holy crap Mia St. John is still fighting. Just jumped on her instagram and wow. She's still looking great.
Ring Magazine, as far as I see it, hasn't been a legit source for anything current in the last 2-3 years (can't pinpoint the date, but the Schaefer split from Golden Boy was when it became utterly obvious that shilling had taken over.
Use Ring Magazine for their historical rankings (anything before 2012 can be generally understood as being editorially fair, imo) and not much else, imo.
The UFC to boxing conversion isn't all that smooth, for the simple fact that weights aren't acknowledged.
Relevant starpower is another conversation, but let's craft the show:
Boxing supercard to pattern UFC 205 (ESPN isn't much better, but they're better than Golden Boy Magazine):
-Alvarez vs Thurman @154lbs
-DeGale vs Jack @168lbs
-Cecila Braekus vs Mia St. John @145lbs
-Cleverly vs Braehmer @175lbs
-Groves vs Abraham @168lbs
-Amanda Serrano vs Heather Hardy 122lbs
A definite good night of fights for boxing fans (though having the main event of the show being a bout where outright size is now an issue may put a damper on things), but not a super duper night of fights, tbf.

their weight classes are different though aren't they? Lightweight is 155 and featherweight 145 and so on. So UFC lightweight is boxing welterweight, if you're trying to be specific about it....
russell-linares as the headliner?
Very true. If Im' trying to be as specific as possible just based on closest weights...
Pacquiao vs Canelo UCF FW 145 vs UFC LW 155
Degale vs Jack UFC WW 170
Stevenson vs Ward UFC MW 185
Beterbiev vs Chilemba UFC WW 170

hahaha i would have said go ef yourself and go to mmgay. but damn ufc makes the fans happy.
I saw your thread and saw how stacked 205 was and decided to start computing what it would look like in boxing. And then I got sad.
