I had Kovalev at #2 before there fight, that has to be the best win anyone has accomplished in the last three years (esp since Floyd retired), you don't see other P4P fighters fighting other P4P fighters
true..but don't you factor in the controversial nature of that win? im not saying he lost, im saying its debatable..so to be fair ward should be 1a and kovalev 1b..until the rematch puts some separation between them. .or you can make the case kovalev is 1a because his win over hopkins (11-8-14) is more impressive than barrera, rodriguez, smith and brand combined. ..50 year old bhop would probably beat all four of those guys in one night.
from novermber 16, 2013 - november 19, 2016 ward's resume: rodriguez, smith, barrera, brand, kovalev(?)
if you're gonna put a question mark over garcias victories over peterson and herrera just because they were close and debatable, same has to be done for ward's win against kovalev. so in three years ward has defeated four guys not on his level and one elite guy in controversial fashion..is that really p4p #1 material? ..
ward is only #1 if you factor in his resume going all the way back to the super six. .using your "only last 3 years" rule, ward is arguably not even in the top five.

I look at resume from the last 6 fights, and only if there within the last 3 years, Pacquaio's last 6 fights have bean : Vargas W, Bradley W, Mayweather L, Algeri W, Bradley W, Rios W : other than Bradley he hasn't beaten top comepetition
Garcia's last 6 fights have been : Vargas W, Gurrero W, Malinaggi W, Peterson W(?), Salka W, Herrera W(?)
Only one good win and it was debatable if he won

resume wise pacquiao is hands down p4p #1..only resume you can put next to his is hopkins.
resume p4p
1. pac 2. bhop 3. ward 4. danny 5. kovalev
most ppl don't just go by resume, they factor in how good and dominant the boxer looked in previous performance. with that lomachenko is #1.
resume
skill set
willingness to take risks
previous performance
all these things must be factored in. if you mesh all those things together lomachenko has a strong case to be #1.

Bellew should be #3
What is your time frame cutoff? It must be pretty long if Ward is #1.
Hard to place Canelo as well. It's hard to tell where he stands against guys his own size given the 155 nonsense, so it's even less clear where he stands p4p.
Haha. I won't hate, man. I've done long posts, too. They take a long time and effort. Good job.
I have one thing, though. Until he faces Kovalev, Roman is above Ward. He never took a long layoff and he's been consistently beating the best guys in his divisions and in his last fight he beat the number two guy who was 35-0-1 in a division he'd never fought in. Until November 19, you gotta go with Roman.
Pacquiao should be 1 because lets be honest ward aint done **** since he won the super6 if he beats kovalev then hell be ranked 2.
You guys right, I'll be dropping Ward in the Rankings
Bro...I'm digging all your posts, good boxing sense & knowledge...I totally agree with you. Also a shout out to Mr Sadig-king-of-ko. for doing the rankings.
thanks brother
