Miguel Cotto vs Kosta tyszou 140

Kostya on 2 healthy legs handles Cotto easily. Kostya on a shaky leg and Cotto is all over him like a hot knife through butter.

Are we talking prime vs prime? Tszyu for sure, he was a league above in skill and would give Cotto one hell of a beatdown.

Kostya as a amateur was probably more technical than anyone fighting right now not named rigo. It looked like kostya was there to be hit, but he wasn't. He never got respect for his defense. I won't lie I haven't seen much of Tzsyu, could have have stopped Cotto? All you need to know is that he was a monster. He fought everyone, and for the most part beat everyone. I was getting thrown in with world champions from the start of his career. He was incredibly technical, but broke you down and knocked you out like GGG does.

You guys are underestimating just how insanely technical kostya was, and he had the power. Accuracy, and ring is to go with it. He was as complete a fighter as there could be. Kostya wasn't like these chump fighters today who fight 1-2 arms lengths away from their opponent. He was always within punching range. Didn't matter he was going forward or backwards. He was always in position to jump on an opening. I'm a huge cotton fan, but prime kostya way out of his league. Kostya was a god.

It could go either way, but I believe cotto eats Tsyzu right hand and disengaged and taken apart.

I won't lie I haven't seen much of Tzsyu, could have have stopped Cotto? At 140 yeah... He was basically golovkin-ish but without the hbo hype machine. Maybe not the single shot ko artist that Golovkin is, but does have ko power, a efficient, methodical paced fighter that put a lot of pressure and threw great power shots.. Really good overall.. Defense alittle suspect, but was one of the best fighters of his era.. If he lands and hurts cotto, tszyu could finish him.. And tszyu is probably a more technically skilled fighter.

he wasn't just caught by vince.......vince was catching him over and over and slowly put on a beating against kosta. also he was down in that fight like round 6......eventually being stopped in a later round. cotto was hurt a few times and down once or twice. never been broken down and stopped like kosta........even though cotto was more chinny at 140 he had very quick recovery time and tons of heart. vince broke kosta down and knocked him out. vince was a bum compared to cotto at 140. full stop I get what you are saying, and agree that cotto is better than vince.. I just think tszyu nails and hurts cotto with a straight right and ultimately finishes him. Cotto was very green at 140 and really didn't put it all together until the very end of his 140 run. Much better fighter at 147 IMO

I DID. vince had just been beaten up badly in sparring before even entering the ring with kosta. in fact he had a swollen black eye before entering the ring. (do u get that? the guy entered the ring beaten up already) also vince struggled to make 140......he was drained had to fight kosta at 140 hadn't been fighting there in like 7 fights. now.....lets to gameplan. kosta didn't like pressure. vince bullied kosta, took the fight to him and knocked him out. kosta does better when he can keep the distance on you. at 140 cotto was a monster on the inside and had one of the best body attacks in the sport. i honestly don't see how kosta makes it to round 8. big ups. Fair enough ,i see it like that.Cotto have some good body shots early but got droped by uppercut fallowed by right lead,Kosta wasnt so bad on backfoot he just had very bad night,Kosta could force you to fight from distance,if cotto can keep it inside i agree he would take it ,but could he walk down Kosta?Cotto at 140 had bad chin and Tyszou could crack. Dont forget that when Kosta lost to Vince he was still green as a pro,he pull his **** togaether and had very good run,becomeing undispiuted champ.

At the time it could have happened in 2005 I would say it's 50/50 But prime best versions of each other, I would take tszyu at 140.. Cotto has a better career but tzsyu was much better at 140.. It sounds like a close and hard fought war. I like Kosta to win by KO. His straight right usually ended fights that way. Cotto might win with his great left jab and left hook but I favor Kosta.
