Quillin is not better than all of his opponents, I don't understand how someone can watch boxing and say something that stupid. From the time Quillin won the WBO to the time he can't flatten by Jacobs, he did jack **** but look lousy. Lemieux looked better against the same foes and was actually coming off an important win. It would be disrespectful of the WBA to make an exception for Jacobs. That said, Golovkin would be damaging his brand to step away from the Jacobs fight and to vacate his title. Maybe not so much if he had a quality opponent to replace Jacobs with, but he doesn't really. Even if he had to face Jacobs at parity, it'd ultimately be worth it. After that fight, Jacobs will be a crumpled body on the canvas and Golovkin will move forward with his career to face BJS or Rameriz next, then ultimately Canelo with a better split for having taken a tough fight and being victorious.
