Which weight division is the best in terms of talent & potential good competitive fights? I have one in mind...
Anyway these are the divisions that I think are the more competitive:;
-Heavywgt
-Lite Heavywgt
-Middlewgt
-Jr. Middlewgt
-Welterwgt
-Jr. Welterwgt
-Lightwgt
-Jr. Lightwgt
-Featherwgt
Like I stated before I already have one selected, i would like to hear what you guys think before I reveal.
Actually the Crusier wgt div was starting to heat up at the time, some members here called me out on that. I acknowledged it. It was an oversight on my part.
It made a rapid progress in two years didn't it?
Right now politics aside it's between : -
Cruiserweight
Middleweight
Welterweight
Super Flyweight
Bantamweight
115 lost Inoue but gained Nietes and remains red hot. 118 just got great with the WBSS and Inoue's arrival. Welterweight is a bit on the top heavy side but what a top. Heavyweight has some big characters and events but the talent is painfully lower than those divisions.
Funny how cruiserweight is the best division now and it wasn't even proposed in this poll two years ago.

I called it!!!
The division that I feel is the best right now is the Jr Middlewgt 154 lbs
-Canelo
-Lara
-Jermell
-Jermall
-Andrade
-Williams (J-rock)
-Trout
-Martirayason
-Hatley
-Liam
-Jarrett (swift) Hurd (don't sleep on this guy, this is the silent gem of the div.)
There is like 5 undefeated guys on the top 10, with 3 of them with 1 defeat.
I called it!!!:boxing::beerchug::friday:
middleweight or welterweight. light heavys good but not much depth
More depth at light heavy than middle, realistically their is only one elite level boxer there. Light heavy I count 4 if you include Beterbiev.
If Brook resides at 147 with Spence, Thurman, Garcia as well as Bradley and Pac I don't see a deeper division.
Heavy is exciting right now with the emergence of Parker and Joshua, the freeing up of Fluff's belts the continued resilience of Klitschko refusing to bow out on a loss, Ortiz signing with Hearn and a wealth of American talent from Miller and Washington right through to olympian Wilder and the inevitable move to heavy from cruiser Usyk. With Povetkin, Pulev and Stiverne still in the mix the division has as much depth as any other right now.
Cruiser still offers up exciting match ups.
This, shocking poll to not include the best division about in boxing.
Cruiserweights never get no love because there are no Yank favourites about in it ****s cray its like the HW use to be such a big division and as Americans stopped producing big men they focused on midget men like Floyd and his lower tier division wtf....
True. Because none of their own guys can live with those CW monsters, the Americans are not interested.
Gotta be kidding. Golovkin aside, there are no stand out fighters at 160 lb. Some good ones, but nothing compared with years gone by. Who you like? Eubank Jnr? Jacobs? None of them within 2 levels, no make that 3 levels of McCallum, Norris, Jackson, McClellan, Toney, Hopkins, Barkley, Nigel Benn and so on. Even a prime Sergio Martinez would blaze through the division and give Golovkin a good scrap.
This. Some good fighters in that divison, but lacking killers.
It is really a hard question to answer, as every divison is constantly moving along and changing all the time. A good thing can be said about all divisions, with that being said, I voted Jr MW, however, an argument can be made for Jr WW or WW.
middleweights probably the hottest division in boxing right now

People are actually saying Welterweight?
The division is barren
You have a fairly unproven Thurman, Garcia who was very 'lucky' with 2 fights down at 140 winning a vacant 147 title (from Guerrero), Brook probably vacating the division, an even less proven Spence and Manny. Not sure where Bradley has gone.
Manny and Floyd carried the welterweight division for years. Even then, they were fighting at 154 or fighting 140lbers. If you really look at it, the division is pretty poor. Theres Manny at the tail-end of his career, and Bradley who has disappeared.
The divisions that stand out to me are Cruiserweight, Light Heavy, Super Feather, and Bantamweight. Honourable mention to 154, but most of the names are unproven.
The cruiserweight division is stacked and they will fight each other. I don't think any division comes close to it atm.
130 is loaded. Miura, Uchiyama, Vargas, Lomachenko, Walters, Martinez, Berchelt, Salido, Corrales and maybe even Pedraza if he proves to be anything.
The Bantams are overlooked too, with Payano, Yamanaka, Moreno, Warren, Mcdonnell, Haskins etc.
The welterweight division would be a lot better if the guys there actually fought each other.
154 will pick up within the next year or two when the young prospects get more fights in.
115 and 118 are overlooked. 130 is my personal favorite though. We got Lomachenko vs Walters and Salido vs. Miura coming up before the year ends. Two very fan friendly fights.
Why no cruiserweight option? This is a red hot division right now and you ought to know that.

For Real! Billy Joe and Eubank Jr are my favs! did you hear about BJ saying Golovkin would f*ck him and Eubank in the same night?! and what about Eubank Jr dropping out of fighting for a world title because he preferred the British title! only at middleweight do we have such drama......and oh boy! I just remember Canelo is lineal! bwahahahaha!
