I also thought about laying down some £ on Relikh, but would have been naive to do so having never seen him and his lack of any level of competition so far.
The reason for it even crossing my mind? Burns is past his best and Relikh's KO % is huge. But as somebody has already said, Burns has a very good defense and a good chin, so he's unlikely to get stopped.
I'm going for a medium / wide points win for Burns (based on opposition / experience).
Everyone has bad names here and there, but DSG has had a decent career up to beating Robert. It's just that he's wasted his entire 2016 since then.
you watch, MMA will correct these irregularities in boxing over the next 10 years.
and this is why we give DSG shit, others fight rod salka's all the time but no one expects ricky burns to be a good champion.

I'll actually pick him. Decent power, very relaxed, puts punches together with good upper body movement defensively, and he doesn't seem small at the weight either.
Not a bad bet given the odds. I might have a little punt, but as everyone as pointed out, his opposition has been awful. He can obviously dig though and will be getting decent sparring and stuff in manchester if he's working with Hatton i'd imagine.
I think he might be a very live opponent and honestly i think Ricky Burns is over the hill, even if he does have a belt. He was never that great anyway but it seemed he peaked around 3-4 years ago.
It might be worth a bet.
Not quite sure how he's managed to become no.1 contender though when you consider his level of opposition has been extremely low.
I would'nt read much into it. I honestly know next to nothing about Relikh, but looking at boxrec, his opponents combined record is 194-200. Coupled with the fact Burns has never been stopped while being in with some stiff opposition, I would'nt bet on Relikh stopping burns.
I'm not betting against anyone, but Relikh has a good chance tho
Look at this guy 91% ko rate,

He looks like he has fought some fairly mediocre opposition but I would like to hear from anyone who has watched him fight too.
This guy is 11/4 to beat Burns. Those odds alone just matched up with his KO percentage make me want to put some money on it. Even if he was fighting guys who really didn't have a prayer of beating him that KO percentage indicates that he definitely can punch.
Burns is tough though.
I put money on how good these odds are, Burns just seems like he's over looking this guy and focusing on Broner
