Canelo vs. Marciano. How long would Canelo survive?
Their size is almost identical.
Canelo's height and reach: 175 & 179 cm.
Marciano's height and reach: 179 & 173 cm.
Weight: Both around 175-185 lbs.
Canelo got a slight size advantage, with all numbers considered. So, how long would Canelo last against this "heavyweight" who is smaller than himself?
Not a fan of Canelo but he'd massacre Marciano, if Rocky fought today with the boxing skills he had he would probably not be much more then a tough hard hitting fighter who would have multiple losses
Boxing has evolved so much in the last 30 years greats like Joe Louis, Gene Tunney, Dempsey etc wouldnt stand a chance vs the best fighters of today
I mean Tunney for example was one of the few fighters back then who tried to outbox and outsmart his opponents, the rest were brawlers
So its not really comparable imo, todays fighters are better then previous generations, cause the sport has evolved so much, aswell as training techniques, equipment, trainers coaches, we know so much more about the human anatomy now and diets and cutting weight etc etc so now you have to be way more dedicated then the fighters back then to be able to make it to the top
I mean many of the fighters back in the 30s 40s 50s would drink and smoke before fights
Take Tony Galento for example "He was reputed to train on beer, and allegedly ate 52 hot dogs on a bet before facing heavyweight Arthur DeKuh. Galento was supposedly so bloated before the fight that the waist line of his trunks had to be slit for him to fit into them. Galento claimed that he was sluggish from the effects of eating all those hot dogs, and that he could not move for three rounds."
And he still gave Joe Louis alot of trouble in their fight even tho he obviously didnt care about his health or conditioning
So yeah u get the point
- - The point is U ZERO IQ held in place by the point on U noggin.

Different eras, gloves, rounds, rings, conditions. Canelo ain't KOing Joe Louis or Ez or even Walcott, but he soon finds out Rocky from behind the cloud of era cigar smoke in 6oz gloves hits hard enough to near kill at least one opponent. And Canelo sure ain't KOing Rock, so question is can he last 15?

Boxers are better today, yes, but Canelo isn't used to fighting opponents his own size, where as Marciano is used to fight opponents bigger than himself. I really can't imagine Canelo winning this one. Marciano is just too tough and Canelo's punches wouldn't affect him a lot.
