This is mainly towards Kov and GGG.
Mainly GGG.
He has great punching power and the refs come into the fights with this notion that if GGG hits the guy then it's more dangerous than any regular punch.
So when fights like, Lemiuex, Wade, Brook and Murray are stopped by the 10 count or the ref does it look less impressive than the one punch KO's like Canelo-Khan and GGG-Ishida.
I think the reputation he's built is causing more stoppages and the lack of spectacular KO's makes him seem less interesting to casual fans that he needs to build the PPV buys.
Because let's be honest, at the end of the day most casuals just see the 15 sec clip on instagram and thats what makes them interested.
Do you not watch boxing? They both have wins after there loss to golovkin.
I watch plenty. Lemieux has a stay busy fight coming up but there would be much more to look forward to if we got Lemieux-Stevens
Golovkin is taking guys out, but when have they fought since. I'd like to see Lemeiux and Stevens try to work their way back up.

Golovkin doesn't have spectacular KO's because, something that folks seem to willfully ignore, his power isn't spectacular (he's got good power). Golovkin is heavy handed, but his power is the kind of power that simply wears you out with accumulation.
The problem with Golovkin is that the HBO/media spin is trying to sell him as if he's Mike Tyson, yet he's never had that type of vicious power.
It's not really the refs fault. GGG just doesn't have explosive power. That's what's stopping him from getting those highlight real one punch KOs. I guess if the refs lets it go long enough, it's possible for him to eventually get more satisfying KOs, but it wouldn't be right. The most exciting KOs are those that come out of nowhere, and not those that come out of prolonged beatings IMO. That's why despite the hate, I like watching Adonis Stevenson fight. That's the type of power I enjoy seeing in a fighter.
