You just said it yourself, Canelo filled the place against a nobody. He can draw crowds like that any time he wants. He doesn't need Golovkin to make big money. It's Golovkin who needs him. If I was Lil G I'd take the $10 million and go for it. Should he beat Canelo he takes the torch and becomes more well known to PPV audiences as the man to beat from then on. It would be his Floyd vs Oscar moment. Plus for sure there would be a rematch clause and he can ask for a much bigger share of the purse the next time around. I don't pay too much attention to the business side of things on boxing but I'd say they are going to have to sweeten that a bit. I was there in person and Canelo filled that place up fighting an unheard of guy. If he and Golovkin fought there it wod be a PPV smash and they could probably bring in 60k plus in attendance. I ll be there I promise you if it happens there but this time ill be about 10 rows back from the ring. It was an awesome experience. you're kinda of thinking will leave GGG out in the cold, the guy is old in boxing in yrs he has no time to be playing the waiting game. GGG needs canelo not the other way around Canelo is proven already he's faced and beaten great fighters already at only 26 yrs old. GGG meanwhile has done squat compares to young Canelo. Oh well ggg can go pick up another meaningless title cuz that does seem to be more important for him than actually taking risks in getting the big fight.
