Manny Pacquiao says he knew almost as soon as his retirement began that he had made a mistake, revealing that loneliness and love for the sport had drawn him back into the ring. Click Here To Read More]
If he is being serious, he needs to open his eyes. He shouldn't need boxing to keep people around him, unless they're people looking to profit from his success.
His fans are a nuisance but I have nothing against him. I hope that he doesn't get bled dry by the parasites around him.
I see there is alot of ignorant ppl commenting on pac being broke or has irs problems. First, how in the f*ck do you know his finances?? Are you his financial advisor? do you go to the same bank as him? c'mon use your common sense! Where is your proof? He has more than just two endorsements! He uses his OWN money for his senatorial seat. Not to mention he Was the second highest paid athlete in the world. He doesnt blow away his money like mayweather does. Dont you think he has other investments?? Second, He has given his countryman ALOT of money and DONATIONS! Gosh damn disrespectful haters LOL!
Yep, dude is STILL arguably one of the top ten pound for pound fighters on the planet. I think it's funny how people say that he's shot. A shot fighter doesn't cruise to a UD over Tim Bradley while scoring two KD's. He's not prime Manny, obviously, but he's still an A+ fighter.
Still gets those angles going that (so far) not many fighters have picked up on, still has good stamina, power. It will be interesting to see the longevity of the top guys right now. See how they're doing 15+/- years into the pro careers. I'm guessing not many will still be around fighting by then.
Only complaint is, the guy needs to talk to the scribes less... unless it's strictly about boxing his upcoming opponent. He and Freddie just talk way too much IMO.
I don't know how good is the economic situation of Manny right now, he was the second best paid athlete in the world some years ago, later the troubles with the irs, so i don't know if is really truth that he misses boxing, if is the case, he should leave the big leagues to the young fighters and fight for fun against some contenders and one day have his last great night against a top fighter, but his best years are behind him and new talents are coming strong.
no one really knows and all that stuff is calculated before he gives anyone any money including arum. no one really knows just how bad pac has been screwed by arum and konz
Outside of the Floydie track meet, he's still fun to watch in the ring with practically every performance. And his talent hasn't dropped that much, especially considering how many years he fought, and how many wars he was in.

OK Cool...but his days of being a big Draw in boxing are DONE as Arum basically confirmed by saying he can no longer pay him $20 Million but yeah I think Pacquiao fighting on is good for the sport of boxing, it certainly can't hurt
Money is likely a factory as well I'm SURE!
With Floyd retired, Pac is still the biggest draw but he needs that good opponent. It won't cut it with Vargas. Bring on Thurman and I bet that shit would sell like crazy.
I cant believe he was in the richest boxing match in history just over a year ago and fought again in April and is allready in a financial crisis.
I know he didn't say that but I don't believe he was just feeling lonely.Or maybe just likes boxing and wants to continue while he still can. If Floyd comes back are you gonna say the same thing?
99% of fighters stay too long for various reasons. Sad most end up broke and punch drunk. Marciano , finito, mayweather if he stays only ones quick I can pick that left at right time.Marciano? You must mean Louis.

:qqq: Exactly ... He still beating top guys. Younger guys. Not willing to fight runners and pitty pat fukers but wanting to fight guys who will go to war and give the fans what they wanna see. A fuking sulg fest and brutal war. Win or lose...Manny wants to fight. Main reason he didnt wanna fight Crawford. Crawford ran waaaaay to much and was on the defense against POSTAL of all fuking people. Just think f Manny was in his face.
He did well vs Bradley last fight. Had him baffled worse than the first 2 times.
The problem is that wars shows their effects after retirement, Manny is always busted up after almost every fight.
No argument there... but he hasn't taken an overly amount of head trauma... although he sure says some goofball things in interviews lately.
Poor manny..dont blame your lonelyness
Could it be that you have hardly any money left...and you are going thru a financial situation...you said yourself your only source of income is thru boxing....if you made all the millions they claimed you made you should be seating pretty on a pedestal and your kids and their kids would never have to work a day in their life...especially living in the PI...
And what proof, outside of gossip and opinions?
Few days ago he said he couldn't rely on his politician wage so he needed boxing, he said it.
I read that as just a matter of what he got used to. Yes, he could be needing money, but I seriously doubt it.
