If they were the same size Brook would have won by decision. Golovkin is nothing more than a brawler with a decent chin and preternatural power.
My god you ****heads don't know **** about this sport.
1. If Kell was a full fledged middleweight with the same ratio of power he had at WW, GGG wouldn't have fought the same fight. So saying he'd win by decision is retarded.
2. Golovkin is a brawler now? 350 amateur fights with only 5 losses as a brawler? Think again mate. Go rewatch GGG vs Stevens, GGG vs Lemeuix, GGG vs Bute (am). He is a boxer when he wants, a brawler when he wants. Something a lot of fighters cannot do.
I gotta agree with this smart-a$s, he schooled GGG by winning 1 round, having 10 seconds of fame in each round and getting KTFO in the process
Einstein of boxing dawg

So, what class did he get schooled in?
"Getting your face broken 101"
"Taking 50 punches and not throwin back in round 5 101"
"How to have your corner throw in the towel 101"
Golovkin did not like getting hit with those shots Kell was landing. He got schooled.
With that said. Of coarse ggg knew he was the bigger man.
I just couldn't believe the actual talent difference between the two.
GGG soun d quite dismissive of the threats posed by brook. So I wonder if brook felt as if he was schooling GGG at any point?
Brook probably thinks GGG is better than he thought, even if GGG don't hit as hard as he anticipated.
Because brook thought he'd beat GGG, so GGG must be better thsan brook thought
Go check out the compu-box stats GGG won by a mile, before you make an idiot of your self.

You are waaaay too late with that advice.
Why are people so amazed that a talented, smaller fighter with faster hands managed to land some good punches on Golovkin? Golovkin had the huge edge in power, Brook had a big edge in speed. Not much can be said about the talent gap due to the fact that it was a size mismatch.
Except it is not a size mismatch but a strength mismatch. All their dimensions and the weight were pretty even. But GGG is that much stronger.
That's all it is. Plus Golovkin said he was going to make it a street fight and he was true to his word.
If he doesn't respect your power, he's going to relentlessly come forward and go for the KO. If he respects your power, he'll fight smart, use his jab and be patient.
But I hope fighters don't understand that. I hope guys like Canelo grow a pair.
Yep.
For a site for hardcore boxing fans, it always surprises me just how many people here have no idea what they're watching. That or they don't actually watch Golovkin. Not sure if it's bias or ignorance.
Yeah, he got schooled by a 147 guy, yet you keep asking him to move up and fight the #2 P4P. That's like asking Salka to fight Mayweather. It's so stupid.

Yep, 2 perfect examples were the Lemieux fight and the Stevens fight. On both occasions he clearly had respect for the power, was very measured in the first half of both fights and broke them down before going for the kill.
In fights where he doesn't respect the power he just walks through punches, 3 or 4 on some occasions, to throw one of his own. Nor does he particularly care if he picks up a bloody nose or a couple of bruises along the way.
There are definitely 2 distinct ways Golovkin fights depending on the opponent and I'm surprised more people can't see that.
Golovkin looked like Golovkin. Don't know why people are in denial of that. He started boxing and it didn't work so he swarmed and put him away.
I've always been saying that GG was open for the upper-cut, and a stiff jab. Kell used some smart technique to look good for a couple rounds. He just didn't have the durability or power to last even half the fight so I wouldn't say he schooled or embarrassed GG at all. Just gave him a couple hard rounds.
