Which fighters got robbed most?
Lara got robbed against Williams, Canelo, Martirosyan and Molina.
Marquez got robbed against Norwood, Pacquiao (3 times!) and John.
Rudy Markussen got robbed against Nielsen (judge stopped the fight after a foul) and Ottke.
Herrera got robbed against Garcia, Pendarviz, Benavidez.
That was just a few examples. I don't even remember all the times Glen Johnson got robbed, for example against Erik Skoglund.
Yeah, there can't be much doubt about that.
Garcia did his best to cherry pick the venue, the country, the judges etc. The only thing he didn't count on was the toughness of Herrara. Even the commentators that night were shocked that Herrara lost. A gift for Garcia.
salido has been robbed more than a 7-11 in a bad neighborhood
LOL, true, the guy gets robbed all the time. I was so scared that he would get robbed again when he fought Lomachenko, as Lomachenko is the rising star and not him. Luckily, the decision was as the decision should be.
The robbery word is used too often...losing a close fight does not equate robbery.
The only real robberies that come to mind:
Sweet Pea/Chavez
De la Hoya/Tito
Pac/Bradley
Herrera/benevides
Herrera/Garcia
Marquez/John
*not sure if marquez/pac 3 was a robbery, but a very bad decision in my opinion.
so Herrera and Marquez.
robin reid would be remembered in an entirely different light if he'd got the decisions against ottke and calzaghe
He got clearly robbed against Ottke, but against Calzaghe, he at most deserved a generous draw. Great competive match, though. Reid was a very good fighter.
Depends on how you define 'robbery'.
For me a robbery is when a fighter CLEARLY won and gets a loss/draw e.g. Whitaker vs Chavez and Ramirez 1.
I thought Whitaker beat Oscar but it was very close so not a robbery.
I don't agree Lara was robbed against Canelo because that could've gone either way but the Williams fight was a robbery.
You, sir, are a very fair man. I would green K you if I was white :boxing:
