Ward is building a fan base. Love him or hate him his qualities can not be denied, he is a defensive wizard. after the Froch fight the Brit looked like he had been in a car smash, he hits hard doesn't take much punishment either.
I fail to see what is to dislike about Ward, he is a roll model to not only his family but other boxers too.
He's never fought a contender outside of the USA.
Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Taylor and Dirrell all had to fight in foreign countries during the Super Six.
Ward was too much of a prima donna diva to do so.
Referees were supposed to be from neutral countries for the Super Six. Ward had a home ref from California who let him use illegal tactics against Kessler.
Ward had minimal clout back then and wasn't even the favorite to win the Super Six. The event was put on to showcase Kessler and Froch, someone just forgot to tell Ward.....
Lmaoooo...all this crying over Andre Ward.
Isn't that the truth! I don't which is worse, all the crying about Ward, or all the crying about GGG. It seems there's 5 threads a day about each one
Has Andre Ward ruined his stock by only fighting out of Oakland?
In Oakland, 1)Andre Ward has a 22k-seat capacity NBA venue and 2) is situated in the SF Bay Area, a metro area that is home to over 7m people.
It's took a while, but Andre Ward vs TBA is basically now good for 9k people in the building on fight night.
Ward being kept off of TV hurt more than anything. Ward fighting out of Oakland is just fine.
It not where you fight is who you fight ..and ward fought the best in his division ...moving up to 175 and fighting the most dangerous man in that division
And all his victory where clear that he won the fight....all of sudden we trying find anything goes to discredit a man who fights everybody at the right time...ward not making us weight for the kolv fight like other super fights made us wait

:bottle:
at 13-0 when he was a prospect he faced another undefeated prospect at 12-0 outside the USA, he also picked up his first minor sanctioned belt fighting outside the states. both abraham and froch took place outside of oakland and froch and ward both traveled 3000 miles to reach the final fight. jack reiss is one of the best refs in boxing bro. keep crying.

Came off as a bit of a diva...but there wasn't a huge stock to ruin anyway. If he was a big draw or had a big fan base, he would have had fights at other big venues by now. He has a big fight in vegas coming up tho.
