Barry Robinson breaks down the fight and predicts a winner. Don't take the title too seriously as it is just click bait, he is incredibly fair in his analysis.
Try keep the hate out as always, we know some hate the fight but some of us want to discuss and debate it fairly.
A lot of "ifs" to pick Brook the winner. IF Brook does this, that and the other thing, and IF Golovkin fails to do this, that and the other thing.
So, not a strong pick here. Hedging.
I think Brook will give Golovkin some tough rounds. And then the hammer is going to come down.
Can't watch the video yet but I don't know GGG as an inside fighter. Usually he dismantles his opponents before they can get inside. I may be wrong though. If Brook is a strong at the weight as he believe himself to be then he may have a shot. GGG is no Porter so i don't think he'll get mauled on the inside but he has to be careful if he steps out. If GGG times him stepping out it could be over
you could be right Boxingfan, but i just pointed out he will have to have a plan and stick with it. He wont hurt GGG to the head it will have to be in the body, if that is possible.
You could be right brother, I just think that its a tall order for a smaller man. Usually to break down a guy to the body you have to somewhat rely on your chin unless you can move like Sweet Pea on the inside. I kinda foresee this like Bradley vs Provo except these are 2 much bigger men and brook doesnt have Bradleys leg strength at least from what I have seen. Again props to Brook but I just dont see him being able to carry any gameplan, a punch GGG dont see coming is Brooks best and only bet imo...
lol, Brook has shown that he is a B+ WW at best. He would need to fight the fight of his life to beat GGG and even that wont be enough. You have to have skills like Sweet Pea Whittaker on the inside (watch Chavez vs Whittaker perfect GGG gameplan) to beat GGG and Kell Brook is no Sweet Pea lol! Brooks going to get tired of the bigger man leaning on him if he tries to tie up and that lean back right cross he does is going to make a perfect home for GGG's jab. I think this fight ends in TKO with Brook having a broken jaw. Brave man in Brook but GGG's skills are definitely underrated if people thing a WW is going to win an inside battle with a middleweight with a great jab.

No Brook needs to do alot. Brook does need to fight inside at times then tie up GGG. He also needs to double jab and control distance. brook needs to throw combos at angles then get out as we say I call it jabbing out. He needs to try to make the fight last a long time. It is like the Ray Leonard Hagler fight strategy. steal rounds and move. When inside flurry fast then spin jabbing or tie up.
Imo he will never be able to out jab GGG. GGG is great at jabbing with his opponent and his jab actually does real damage. Brook has an excellent jab and a beautiful straight right hand, but if he tries to trade jabs with GGG, it is all bad news for him.
I don't disagree that if Brook was capable of doing what you are suggesting that he could win, but I hav'nt seen Kell do it. Kell's bread and butter is controlling distance and hitting you with a straight right hand and maybe dropping a combo behind that. Problem is he is in with a guy who has a better jab, does superior body work, has more power, great timing, excels at cutting the ring off and appears to have a granite chin. Kell's only real advantage is his speed, and timing kills speed.
I agree Boli but you have to have a strategy. I would have him use the jab a lot upstairs and down and also mix in bod shots frequently the first 8 or 9 rounds. I would also have him be flashy the last 20 seconds of each round. He will be okay flurrying and tying up on the inside. He doesn't need to sit in the mid range with GGG. He also needs to jab out and hit GGG in the body from angles as he jabs out. After the 8th or 9th round he then needs to start mixing in rights to head and Left hooks more often. Brook must dictate pace and distance or he has no chance.
.. and meanwhile GGG is supposed to stand still like an idiot? :)
Sorry about the typo. I meant to say Brook had his hands full beating Porter by a split decision.

There is no battle plan that will make Brook the winner. Brook simply isn't big enough or good enough or a hard enough puncher to bother or defeat GGG.
I don't need to read it. I am already sure that GGG will brutally KO Brook. Brook is very brave to take the fight. Being brave will earn Brook a well deserved big payday but it won't win him the fight. Brook had his hands fully just barely winning a split decision over Porter. Porter would be quickly slaughtered by GGG.
Can't watch the video atm, but if what he is suggesting is that Brook needs to get inside on GGG, than he is correct. Brook is never going to win a jabbing battle. If he tries to stay outside Golovkin will systematicaly destroy him.I agree that even if Brook tries that approach he will still get worn down and stopped, but it is his only real hope.

Eeeeesh. He's saying Brook needs to be physical with Golovkin to win. Even if Kell does have the strength to push Golovkin back, he'll burn a ton of energy doing that with a bigger man who's apply constant pressure with strong precision punching. Brook would be gassed by the mid rounds and defenseless.
