Castillo/Mayweather 1, Castillo made him his *****. One of the worst robberies.
Humiliating beatdown? Have you seen this fight? You embarrassed yourself with this post.
No...
I would say worse beatdowns were
Floyd-diego
Lennox-tyson
Tyson-berbick
Lennox-Golata
Lennox-grant
Lennox-ruddock
Floyd-gatti
Toney-holyfield
Calzaghe-lacy
Hopkins-joppy
Tito-Reid
Oscar-chavez
Manny-Hatton
I remember a WBO Heavyweight champion being dropped 4 times and stopped in the 2nd round by a semi-pro golfer.
man i remember that fight like it was yesterday. i was so happy. great party night.
I don't think that fits the criteria of this thread. Jones was a past prime fighter who long ago was considered "shot" and Calzaghe cherry picked the fight instead of fighting undefeated Kelly Pavlik, who all the fans and media were calling for at the time. Instead of taking a challenge after his narrow split decision win over 43 year old Hopkins, he chose Roy "don't worry son, he's not that good anymore" Jones jr.
Ironically, he probably could have had a "humiliating beat down" victory over the then red hot undefeated Kelly Pavlik but that opportunity instead went to Hopkins, the man who has always been willing to challenge himself and ended up actually humiliating the 17 year younger Pavlik.
that's how i see it.
yes and this has close to no peer. this was a title fight right?
Yep, vacant IBF strap. Peden got a PPV payday unifying with Barrera after this!
Poison Laid the Blue Print. Hamed was past his best Mentally and physical, Barrera was peaking. Prime Naseem smashes Barrera into submission
Hamed thrived when you came to him when you thought that he was hurt. He will counter and get his KO. Barrera knew this and you can see him all fight long stepping back even when he had him hurt or unbalanced
Barrera owns Naseem.
Difference between Hamed and Macho Camacho is that Camaco's behavior belied his his humility. Chavez sr said something to that effect about the Macho Man as he spent significant time hanging out with him. RIP.
Excuses, Barrera's boxing ability waxed that azz
