Why do some weirdos think that Showtime is different than PBC? The Santa Cruz-Frampton bout was clearly a PBC event just like all the rest of the PBC events on Fox, NBC, Spike, ESPN, Bounce, etc.
It's also VERY clear that Schaefer will be working with Haymon/PBC/Showtime very closely eventually forcing HBO out of boxing soon enough.

so your admitting the money is drying up? Is that why there are only 2 big shows paid for by pbc on free to air tv? Would you say PBC is in trouble?
Gonna stick with being the average POS poster. Cool.
Actually, the post I responded to you said:
when the money started drying up we saw more and more showtime fights in the fourth quarter with terrible ratings for shows like degale-bute, quillin-jacobs etc.
I said Showtime has always been a major player and was from the beginning as planned.
You denied saying that you never saw a press release stating this.
I showed press release.
Are you ready to admit you were wrong or do you wish to carry on like the typical POS that posts on here?

I never switched topics. I stated the lack of big shows from PBC on my original post. Nice try. Explain why PBC has only 2 big free shows this year. That shouldn't be hard for u.

I'm sorry, did you read the press release? You said Showtime wasn't a part of PBC from the beginning. Release says they are. Before you switch topics admit it and try not be the average NSB POS, thanks.

explain why in 8 months this year the pbc warchest has funded a grand total of TWO big fights on free to air tv (garcia-guerrero and wilder-arreola) ???

I can't help you if you can't read or comprehend.explain why in 8 months this year the pbc warchest has funded a grand total of TWO big fights on free to air tv (garcia-guerrero and wilder-arreola) ???
and the press release doesn't say they are considered pbc fights on showtime just that they work together.
Again why only 2 big fights in 8 months. Stop the deflecting. Your lack of explanation only confirms that you know PBC is running out of money
I can't help you if you can't read or comprehend.
I don't need you to explain it. I posted the initial press release. Hmm let's see...you or press release straight from the source?

I already explained to you. And if you go back to last year with the "Free Boxing For All" banter they didn't advertise Showtime or ppv (Mayweather) fights at all. It was separate. Hell they didn't even tweet about the fights.
You continue to deflect. Explain to me why 8 months into the year we have had exactly two big cards on free tv that were paid for by pbc money which is nothing like the first 9 months of PBC's existence and now we get mostly low budget shobox level fights like last night's espn show

Do I remember that? Is that what the press release said? What's your source? I already explained to you. I haven't been impressed with PBC in 2016. They can't even get their biggest names (Thurman, Broner, Garcia) to fight each other. By now, those three should be on each other's resumé.
it isn't. it is separate. remember PBC is supposed to be free boxing for all lol and not a $20 a month subscription to Showtime. I do like how you didn't answer any of my questions about how through 8 months of this year PBC has had exactly TWO big fight cards this year. :boxing:
I can see how you deflect from the task at hand.
Do I remember that? Is that what the press release said? What's your source?
What happened to Showtime being a major part of PBC from the beginning being false? 😂

I be schooling you on the regular. Then explain why nbc and espn are out of the pbc biz after their contract is up this year and why there have only been 2 big pbc fights through 8 months that werent paid by showtime or spike (garcia-guerrero and wilder-arreola which isn't even really that big but will give that one to them) and why nbc is showing cheap b rate shows now. Explain why all the other big shows are all paid for and not with waddell and reed investor money. Because the money is running out? Bingo! I stay clowning you hoes.
What happened to Showtime being a major part of PBC from the beginning being false? 😂
So you're just going to keep peddling your horse manure. Ok.
NEW YORK – CBS Sports and SHOWTIME Sports® have announced a multi-year joint venture to present live boxing on the CBS Television Network—the first of up to eight live events in 2015 will premiere on Saturday, April 4 at 3 p.m. ET on CBS. Premier Boxing Champions on CBS will air in conjunction with marquee SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING events as part of a partnership that will cross-promote the live programs across multiple platforms.
The first six weeks to begin this venture will feature two of the biggest names in the sport—Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and Adonis Stevenson—and bookend this year’s most anticipated boxing event, the SHOWTIME PPV® presentation of the undisputed pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather.
Each live boxing event on CBS and SHOWTIME will be supported with short- and long-form shoulder programming that will air across multiple platforms including CBS, SHOWTIME and CBS Sports Network. In addition, a significant marketing budget will be dedicated to promoting each of the live CBS broadcasts and each major SHOWTIME telecast with targeted advertising campaigns.
“The Premier Boxing Champions series on CBS will help usher in a new era in the storied history of boxing,” said Stephen Espinoza, Executive Vice President & General Manager, SHOWTIME Sports. “With the support of our parent company, we are uniquely positioned for a three-tiered approach that includes live boxing broadcasts on America’s No. 1 network, the cable reach of CBS Sports Network and, of course, the premium television leader in boxing, SHOWTIME. The benefit of elevating the sport across these platforms for all involved, including SHOWTIME, is immeasurable.”
Just let me know how many more releases you need. I know you're the type to keep your head up your ass cuz you're so full of sh*t.
Oooooh, he's not getting up Jim! :boxing:

Won't force HBO out, I don't think HBO will go away they been in boxing for too long but I do think boxing needs some type of unity for it to thrive because this DIVIDE right now is hurting EVERYBODY both HBO and PBC as well as the fighters so something really needs to be done about that! HBO don't have the roster to maintain because while they have top talent, those top talents need Dance Partners or else you will so more fighters do what Luis Ortiz is doing right now which is trying to get out of his current situation to make the jump for better money and better competition because he sees that at HBO and with GBP it is nothing for him at Heavyweight so they will continue to give him low pay and weak match ups! No Way will HBO be able to keep everybody happy. I think Schaefer will land some big names soon to his Promotion I'm sure.
i never read a press release. where was this press release at? and they weren't a major player at first. look at the first few months. they became a player again when the money started drying up. look at the non showtime or spike funded pbc shows this year? almost all small cheap shows. Only big budget shows were Garcia Guerrero and wilder Arreola. Just the facts.
So you're just going to keep peddling your horse manure. Ok.
