People hating on Ward are going too far over and over again. Seriously, it's a pure insult to even suggest that simple fighters like Golovkin and Kovalev would stand a chance against him. It would take something like a prime Roy Jones Jr. or minimum a prime Joe Calzaghe to be able beat him (and I'm not even sure if Calzaghe would win, but stylistically, he stands a very good chance).
Kovalev got bad defense, was falling over his own feet again and again against Pascal and couldn't stop grandpa Hopkins, who in many ways is an ancient and slower version of Ward. He couldn't even stop Chilemba!
Golovkin is from 160lbs and Ward is soon gonna take over 175lbs. Golovkin is just too small and his limited skillset won't pierce Ward's defense.
I know Ward is gonna beat Kovalev soon and the worst thing is, when he makes Kovalev look stupid, people will just say Kovalev that was overrated and that Ward would have lost if he fought Golovkin, lol.
Can't really fault this, but it's not like they're the only hardcore fanbase who gets a little emotionally involved though and it's a 2 way street - just as with FMJ or Pac the haters go to extremes to provoke hostile reactions at times - it ain't necessarily the 'fair and reasonable' criticism that sets the tone. Bit like watching a bunch of kids at times.
Yea, and I can't believe there's STILL people bickering over Pac and Floyd. I've no idea why someone would feel compelled to tear either of them down.
Sure. I think it's pretty weak when people hate on either of those guys as fighters. There's legit reasons to criticize both (GGG's resume, Kovalev's racism). Shytting on what they do in the ring is nonsense. They're both very good fighters.
I think their hardcore fans tend to be pretty emotional though and can't handle seeing any criticism, no matter how fair and reasonable, without going ape shyt. I see it all the time around here.

They're gonna say "Meldoniumz shouldn't have been banned because Ward would've lost."
They are Fvck heads who DKSAB! I met Ward in person and he told me politely and inadvertently, that froch was no joke. As a real boxing fan, I gotta keep it real. Ward politely put me in check, corrected my stupidity... Froch was very tough. More than we can imagine.
I won't disrespect Mr. Ward or Mr Froch now, I just hope & pray I can accurately convey the respect Ward had for Froch... I lack the vocabulary. My bad. My bad..
I think it's great when they hate on him because they always look like clowns in the end. The guy is a winner. Losers naturally hate a winner.
Well said Hermano! Jhonny say's keep keeping it real! Nuff said!
They're gonna say:
"He only won because he ran all night! If he fights Golovkin, he gets knocked out, though!":fingersx::fingersx:
White boxing fans :blackeye:
Maybe they are gonna shoulder injury/tight socks excuse us to death??
God forbid they do that slow motion bullcrap!!!
I am pro Ward all the way...
What are these phaggatrons gonna say when Ward whips Kovalev ??

USA against the world...WAR S.O.G!!!!!!!!!!!
Ward is the best boxer in the world, but USA can go to Hell.
They destroyed the Native Americans and stole their land, they went to Africa to take our ancestors as slaves and then treated them horribly for generations, they're still the only country in history to use nuclear weapons on another country and today, their main business is to obey their Jewish masters and kill Muslims everywhere. USA is a lame country full of fat racist people who don't understand anything about the things we're going through here on the other side of the sea. Things like ISIS wouldn't exist if not stupid Americans to come and destroy Iraq.
I disagree. Ward is too a good a boxer. Kovalev is sloppy at times, off balance and there to be hit. I don't think it will be easy for Ward and I wouldn't be surprised if he got rocked a few times. But I don't think Kovalev will land enough to win. Just my opinion.
Kovalev is rarely off balance. Though he may look off balance sometimes to US fans who don't understand what he is up to with the shifting moves he uses to close distance while punching at the same time.
He has only ever been sloppy defensively with Pascal and Chilemba, who are both difficult to hit - especially Chilemba - but lacking in power. Against both Kovalev knew he could risk taking shots in order to get through with his own, which he did.
Ward has even less power than Pascal and Chilemba. Krusher is quite capable of ignoring Ward's feints, walking right through his punches and nailing him, which is what I think he will do.
Don't be fooled by Kovalev's performance vs Chilemba. Nobody has ever decked that guy before and nobody has ever beaten him clearly on points. Chilemba's 2 defeats, to Alvarez and Bellew, and also his draw with Bellew, could all have gone either way. I think Chilemba is a tougher challenge than Ward at 175.
....dude literally has the worst resume ever of anyone considered top 3 p4p by many people
The middleweight division has changed a lot in the last 4 years. He has only defeated Lemieux out of the current top ten, and only won one belt in the ring. Also you are throwing stats without context. Those 7 "top 10 " contenders are a crop of some of the wholly average guys and many of them never beat a top ten contender themselves. Stevens never beat a legit top ten contender, nor did Murray who lost to every world ranked fighter he faced, Geale was legit, Proska was decent but who'd he really beat? Dont try to make it sound like middleweight is filled with talent like 112, 147, 175 when in actuality it is one of the thinnest talent wise and has been for sometime. Thats why the former champions have been guys from lower weights like Martinez, Cotto, and Canelo....160 is not talent rich.
the eye test means a lot when you are fighting GOOD opposition.
The most recognizable name on his resume will be a welterweight
top 3 p4p.....a finalist in many publications fighter of the year(never knew beat martin murray level guys meant so much...daaaa well)
you are beating a dead horse with that "they ducking doe" excuse...its was cool in 2013....its 2016 bro....if you really believe the only fighter willing to fight him was a welterweight, well you need to lay off the sauce :trink26:
k2 make business decisions to maximize profits....higher purses, with low risks....bigger cut than crappy opponents...can pad his record until a big fight with Canelo or DeGale materializes
Mark my word...after Brook, he wont be fighting a top 5 middleweight...said it after the wade fight, and after the lemieux fight
you cant be considered the best in you division and you have eliminated the number 1 contender, the lineal champion or a couple top 5 guys
Here are the MW rankings as per Ring magazine.
1. Canelo, lineal champion. Handed over his WBC belt to avoid Golovkin.
2. The Man himself.
3. Daniel Jacobs. Won't fight Golovkin unless he is paid twice as much as GGG himself has ever earned for a fight.
4. Billy Joe Saunders. Same as Jacobs.
5. David Lemieux. KO'd by GGG last year.
Yes, it's a safe bet that GGG won't be fighting a top 5 MW next, now troll away, I'n sick of reading this shit over and over again.
Trust me, Ward is not the likely winner against Kovalev. I think the only chance he has is a bent ref, like in the Kessler fight, and a technical decision after cutting Krusher with his head.
I'm pretty sure that Kovalev will take him out before he has a chance to start pulling his dirty tricks though.
Kovalev is a heavier, but less rangy, stronger, but less skilled, version of Froch and Kessler.
Kovalev got very limited skills, which could clearly be seen in his last bunch of fights. The guy is clumpsy and got no defense.
Golovkin doesn't have a poor resume. People saying that over and over again doesn't make it true.
He hasn't beaten another elite fighter, because none would fight him, but he's KO'd 7 top 10 rankers in the last 4 years, which is probably better than any other currently active fighter.

with GGG is all opinion based and not actually what he has done in the ring. He has a lot of talent but beating a dead horse and making excuses wont have him make the hall of fame nor be remembered as a great fighter
What gets me is that this dumbass says anyone who thinks Kovalev or GGG would even have a chance at beating Ward makes them a "hater". Ward is the likely winner but he's not some unbeatable God plus Kovalev and GGG are very good fighters.
