We can't count the money in other people's pockets. Everyone goes to the table with an expectation for pay. 30K may be life changing for the next person. Why not take it. Especially if you get an opportunity to get on television. It puts your name out there more. You will almost never see me bashing a boxer for picking his opponents. I think most boxers are quite skilled to pose a threat. But someone with 30k purse is really not the kind of opponent Ward should be fighting against. But what pisses me off the most is the hypocrisy in this forum. If GGG's opponent got 30k, I assure you, there would be atleast 50 stupid threads on it. But I still think Ward was stupid to pick this fight.

Who at 168? Why would ward duck GGG? He's an Olympic Gold medalist! He's seen everything. He's taking on a more dangerous fighter in Kovalev at a heavier weight. GGG did't want to go to 168, so seems more like a GGG duck if you ask me. Only boxing fans could talk about boycotting an event that would have no negative economic effect whether they watch or not. Unless you want HBO to stop showing boxing matches which would also affect the same boxer the thread starter is in love with, not watching tonight won't mean a damn thing.
