Sometimes these guys coming up or with a record that isn't flashy, go at it in real fights. Ring just did another list where Floyd finished ahead of Manny in a list compiled by objective voters. Yes, I am a huge Floyd fan. However, my saying his resume is superior is not based on my liking him as hard as that may be for you to believe. If you use same criteria, floyd will always come out ahead IMO. I didn't watch the Ward/Brand fight this weekend precisely because it's BS. I haven't watched Stevenson either.

I already have him above Floyd, regardless. I just don't get this fight, at all. Its pointless. He needs to jsut pass the torch to TC, and call it a career. If he wins, other worldly legend status. If he loses, takes hos seat amongst the ATGs, and ride off into the sunset having passed the baton to his successor.

I'm just waiting to see if HBO picks up the PPV. If they do not, Manny is no longer bound to HBO and can make the Floyd fight without HBO getting a cut. Maybe that is what is going on-Bob puts Manny in with Vargas knowing HBO will not air the fight because it sucks and they are committed to Kov/Bradley.
