“This is the biggest fight in world boxing – I’m so excited,” said Brook. “I’m the best welterweight in the world and no-one wants to fight me, he’s the best middleweight in the world and no one wants him. I’ll be his size on the night and I’m bringing the speed to middleweight. To be the best you have to beat the best.
“I’m going to be so sharp and so powerful on the night. No-one has got the best out of me before but GGG will bring that out in me and I’m excited to see that from myself. I always find a way to win and there’s going to be massive drama in the fight.
“It doesn’t get better than this and I’m doing this for the fans that have wanted me to step-up and show them what Kell Brook can really do and prove I am among the elite in the sport.”

There's been some misinformation recently regarding Brook coming in @ 160 on fight night, which doesn't make sense. His overnight weights have been 156 for the WW bouts due to IBF regulations. IBF requires the fighters to weigh less than 10 lbs over the limit on the day of the fight. There is no time requirement - just the same day. The 'unofficial' weights from the day of the fight are to be taken with a grain of salt because of this - the fighters may still be cutting weight during this phase. The actual fight night weight is usually not posted. Freed of that requirement, there's no way Brook comes in @ 160 vs. GGG.
Golovkin's heaviest weight was in 2014, when he came in at 173 vs. Rubio. Rubio missed weight that night and came in at 181. For all his other bouts, including 3 of the most recent, he weighed 170-172. In all 3 of his recent fights, he's weighed LESS than his opponent. There were no weights listed for his fight vs. Martin Murray, but considering that Golovkin weighed in at 158.9, and Murray was 160, and that Murray moved up to SMW after the fight, there's a very high chance that Murray weighted more than him as well.
My prediction:
Weigh In: Golovkin - 159, Brook - 158
Fight Night: Golovkin 169, Brook 167
Jmmm wasn't the same size as Floyd fight night, neither was Duran against hagler.?
Only people with sophisticated eyes will see GGG is bigger than brook
brook got some of that africana blood in him, he'll be big, dont nobody worry
the sad thing is this reply sounded exactly like what the "The Godfather" wrestler would say.........lmao
Brook sounds like Khan did before Canelo Ko'd him. Khan was all about his power and how big he will be on the night and yet he looked very small next to Canelo.
GGG has sparred guys like Kovalev and Afolabi and they both said he hits like a heavyweight...especially Afolabi who sparred Kilitchko. GGG is also a very decorated Olympian, and has seen all kinds of styles. Unfortunately, Brook has no chance. This is not Sugar Ray vs Hagler, or even Duran vs Hagler. Brook will be hit and broken down and eventually Ko'd.
you white boys make me laugh
jamaican is africana foo, they got taken over there
Don't you two have better things to do than see who gets the closest to race, nationality or stereotypes. Clowns
