That can make 147lbs or even under.
I think:
Crawford
Spence
Thurman
Porter
Brook
Pac
Bradley
I would like to say Khan because he definitely has the skills to make Garcia look bad but his chin is what lets him down and is the only reason why I wouldn't favour him to win.
I just think it's pretty bad to see Garcia with a title because it's been nearly 3 years since he's actually had a proper win vs a truly ELITE fighter in his prime. I really don't want to see him fight Berto, who is honestly a gatekeeper for 147. He did well at 140lbs for a while beating Khan and Matthyse but got gifted a few too, namely Herrera and arguably Peterson.
I'm reading that he may face Thurman next year, why can't we have that fight this year? It will do HUGE numbers in a Post MayPac world.
Vargas is a good fighter but I don't think he's up to their level. IMO he got schooled against Bradley and landed that one bomb in the last round which made a lot of people forget how clearly Bradley was winning that fight.
Vargas has teamed up with PED Heredia and looks in crazy shape nowadays though.
Spence, garcia, thurman, porter, etc would/could all get schooled by Bradley. None of them have ever fought anyone at the level of Bradley. Vargas did get taken to school but people quickly forget it was Vargas 1st fight at 147 & he won about 3rds and came close to ko'ing the best active ww in the world. & Vargas isnt with Heredia anymore, it was a style change for his new found power. Imo Vargas 1-2 is/can be kryptonite for Garcia, people soon forget Garcia was busted up by Herrera a JWW. Vargas' 1-2 would do more than hurt.
I agree with Vargas vs. Garcia, people seem to leave him out.
Always a logical answer from Foxx, its hard to disagree with you :boxing: I think Bradley has the ability to make it easy but it depends what Bradley we get.

Garcia is an all-around fighter and that alone makes him very tough to beat. People act as if he was exposed in the Herrera and Peterson bouts as if fighters can't learn from experiences like that. Look at your favorite boxers and you'll find that most had tough fights like those before they hit full stride. Sometimes the result was much worse. Garcia remains the darkhorse to come out of this scrum on top. I can't wait for he and Thurman to square off.
Garcia has been sometimes great and sometimes disappointing.
Not impressive to beat Guerrero or Paulie (Spence being praised for beating Algieri) but he beat them quite easely, he's obviously an elite fighter, even at 147 IMO.
His hooks are mean, and people should not overlook his skills.
He's quite a small guy tough (next to guys like Brook, Thurman, Spence) and it seems like when he has to dig deep vs a durable dirty fighter, he's in trouble.
Thurman, Brook and Pac IMO.
Regarding Crawford and Bradley, not so obvious, they probably can beat him as Bud and Brad are themselves true elite fighters but Danny is mean, can box and punch.
Spence, Porter, I'm not sold yet on them, both seems to be quite "face first' wich is a style Danny would like, tough they are quite bigger than DG.
Danny Garcia is just over 5'8, just at 69" reach, can box a little bit off the backfoot/jab, is tougher than anyone wants to acknowledge, is one of the best catch/shoot and inside fighters in the division, and still walks into any fight with that left hook and a nice compliment of shots to set it up.
Garcia likely doesn't win every fight (i think Errol Spence Jr and Kell Brook give him hell), but he beats a lot more guys than folks want to acknowledge.

people keep underrating Danny Garcia

Garcia somehow finds a way to win. Sometimes it's gifted to him. But his so stiff and you look at his knockouts his head down throwing a hook. People say it's timing others have said it's luck. His luck has to run out at some point. Probably going to be fighting berto next. Everybody likes to trash berto but if he beats him what would that say about garcia.
Ain't that the truth! Tim is really undervalued because people have seen him against his cryptonite 3x. Tim is capable of great things but he has lapses where he just off the the path and has to be reminded to get back with the gameplan. That's why I think Atlas is great for him. If Tim can be disciplined enough to follow an Atlas gameplan of stick and move, I think he takes this slower version of Garcia. He would do what Lamont should have done but he was lazy in his offense. If he falters just for a moment though and gets in a firefight, it could end quickly. Danny still has great counters, though they're coming half a step slower than they used to.
Very undervalued! when people talk best of this era and throwback fighters they should be talking about Tim. Hes a workout maniac which is rare for current day fighters, very few have his work ethic. Tim is one of the few that can change it up mid fight but you are right he dont like to stick to the gameplan which is his only vice. I think Tim could play games with Garcia if they fought and switch up his volume attack with some sticking and moving. I like Garcia to a certain extent but hes to stiff, Tim could definitely keep him off balance.
I agree with you some. Danny is a mid range hooker with timing after he gets adjusted. Spence would smother and over whelm dc, thurman taxes his a$$, Crawford would win on pts, but I feel like he does have khans #.
Right :lol1: I don't even know how to describe him right now
Hes really the guy who plays to his opposition. He only looked vulnerable against Herrera, and then when Lamont started bullying the shi1t out of him. From rounds 8-12 Lamont ragged dolled him, no one ever did that to him prior.
I don't really count Morales 1 as Danny was learning on the job against a legend...
I agree with Vargas vs. Garcia, people seem to leave him out.

I'd agree with that list, they all beat him. Garcia is a highly protected fighter, what's worse is that he and his father think this is a great thing.
It's amazing that boxing fans believe in Danny Garcia more than he believes himself. I have to say whatever happened in that Matthysee fight must have have completely broken him because he has shown absolutely no confidence in his abilities whatsoever since that time.
He's receiving gift decisions, while going balls to walls and getting his ass kicked by fighters he cherrypicks; Who are either washed up, shot or has diminished skills. Now just imagine what the elite fighters of the sport would do to him?
I said this before, I think they both took something out of each other that night.
Angel said Danny was pissing blood, sort of wasn't the same after that.
Lucas clearly wasn't the same. They took something out of each other.
Thurman and Pac. That's it.
Vargas/Garcia is 50-50
I agree with Vargas vs. Garcia, people seem to leave him out.
Crawford
Pac
^ Likely to beat Danny.
Spence
Brook
^Haven't proven anything compared to DSG's record. I'd take Danny until these guys have more than one good win.
Thurman
Porter
Bradley
^Very competitive, would love to see. I'd pick them by a narrow margin.

I feel like I don't even know of who do Danny is anymore as a fighter TBH. But if he shows up in a fight with any top WW he's a live dog.
Right :lol1: I don't even know how to describe him right now
