Do you guys think GGG would be able to hurt Hagler?

this is u guys problem.....hagler is sturdy as f*ck. took body shots head shots. hearns broke his hand on this mans face. golovkin is sturdy as fu*ck based on what? we are comparing him to hagler here. so based on what makes u believe golovkin is sturdy? he's only sturdy based on the competition you've seen him fight such as guys like kell brook, rasado, stevens. LMAO this is what they DON'T GET. Hearns broke his freaking hand on the man's FACE! OK, when you think of a iron chinned, sturdy, durable, leather skinned, whatever other adjective for though there is, you think of Marvin Hagler. This was a trick question guys. Of course GGG can't stun or wobble Hagler. Hagler is the god of war. GGG is the prince of persia.

Cmon GGG isn't invincible, no doubt he could hurt Hagler but he would get a taste of something he's yet to see so far. Prime vs prime would be show to watch!

I'd pick Hagler to win that fight by decision. Unless he got stopped by a cut. Golovkin isn't a "go for broke" one punch hitter. He's a smart boxer who lands punches with accuracy and gradually beats people down. Power serves him; he doesn't serve it. But Hagler had better competition for sure, and I have to pick him at this point.

I never thought the Beast was that good. Probably because most of his fights I saw were after Hagler ruined him. I do remember him being feared though. That era 80's-90's had so many dudes who could flat out punch. I think a big puncher nowadays is more of an anomaly. he was really good. the problem is he got everything beat out of him in that hagler fight. even hagler only had 1 more fight after that. hagler was done with boxing after that fight but sugar came along with the right money. people don't understand that hagler didn't even want to fight anymore after that fight because it drained everything out of him.

Man this fight really is the irresistible force vs the immovable object! Yes he would hurt Hagler, but Marvin would recover and likely UD GGG in a convincing fashion. Style is all wrong for him, Hagler could live on GGG's chest in that fight and be safe as houses, because he was slick as anything on the inside and knew how to do serious damage there, GGG is cuter on the inside than given credit for, but he needs room to throw his punches. This is assuming that GGG will still be able to do the things he is doing now to higher calibre fighters, that is still an unknown with him. All in all I don't think GGG would get any change from B-Hop or Hagler, two other recent great middleweights, in my opinion they are a little too complete for him, and B-Hop was a monster at middleweight, size wise.

power never worked against hagler........u had to know how to outbox & circle him. using power and walking to him is one of the most ret@rded gameplans against him. down right remedial......... even great fighters like Leonard already knew this. the guy had a hard rock bullet head and chin. he was built like a rock. remedial gameplan.......

He never fought a puncher as strong as Golovkin. John Mugabi was a stronger puncher........

Marvin is 62,of course GGG could. In his prime? No. Probably not.

Let's say he catches him flush, do you think Hagler would be wobbled, dazed, stunned, or hurt? Caveat, Hagler sees it coming. And after tasting his power, do you think it would deter him in any way? Hagler would be tits up. Not many fighters, even granite chin ones, can take a flush shot from any boxer and not wobble. Hagler is a monster, and a legend, but a man with GGG's power only comes unto the human race once every several hundred years, GGG would stop Hagler late in a war.

I conceded nothing, I just don't have online arguments with ignorant people, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. If you think Fury is some special fighter go ahead, but again the truth is he is a plodder that is devoid of much boxing coordination, speed , or power. I brought you UP a level, to the level where we use evidence LOL (Just like scientists, courts of law, the FBI and doctors do). You used unsupported claims and opinions like a cult member. Those were good fighters who got a lot of attention from the media back in the day, but were not on Golovkin's level. Golovkin isn't just a good fighter, he's a GREAT one. He would have Barkleyed Tommy Hearns. So many holes in this argument it's pathetic. Tommy Hearns is not on g strings level? GTFOH g string is a great fighter. Greatness is proven in the ring and with his teams reluctance to fight quality fighters, you just can't say g string is great.

Hagler is subject to the same laws of physics as every other collection of cells in the universe. You gotta love science... dismissing BS since the stone age. Golovkin would definitely win by KO. No way in hell, Hagler has never been KO...I like GGG but Hagler had a very good jab watch his first fight against Mustafa Hamsho excelent jab when he needed to.
