In them streets as a youngster coming up. So much to the point that he got shot (in the head according to the recent countdown show of the Postol fight) and was hospitalised. Him surviving that incident is said to have turned his whole life around.
In truth though when you see his whole quiet demeanour and his reluctance to be brash and opinionated like so many greats before him, it's very hard to imagine he was a street dude.
What I find intriguing about him though is he's probably one of the calmest looking fighters I've ever seen. Like Rigo his expression never changes. And I wonder if that is because he's already looked death in the face? That calmness is hard to find in this fight game. Hell I've seen Floyd look a little nervous a ton of times but never Terence and it will be interesting to see if that remains the case the higher the level he goes.

This is boxing not the streets. Street guys have been in boxing since the 1900s they are nothing new.
Hank Lundy is said to have ties to the streets and he can't stop running his mouth .
Another quiet dude who was heavy in the streets was Anthony Joshua!!..dude was facing life in prison at one point.
Life in prison for selling weed? lol no chance mate. You can murder people over here and only get 20 years.

LOL I see the "Mr intelligence" can't fathom the difference between talking about a fighter's life and talking about my own :pat: .
You ran up in my thread talking a whole bunch of nonsense...if you do have a keyboard of your own I suggest you stick it down your big mouth!!..because your wailing and tough guy act ain't scaring anyone.
Lol you're the only one trying to act tough with your "street" talk.
Don't forget to bring your keyboard with you next time you go outside.
You ain't ****, you won't be ****, and you haven't seen ****.
Just because you like a black fighter doesn't make you hood.

The streets is where they get the black slickness from. Not surprised at all to learn he had a hood life.
Yall know if he was ever locked up or in a street gang?
Some fighters have learned the sacred 52 Blocks gang style that is only taught to bangers and convicts.
Ive heard that Hopkins knows this and never had to use it and Mayweather Sr. learned it while doing hard time but only passed it on to his son and nobody else. Tyson actually used 52 Blocks on Holyfeld only after getting headbutted repeatedly, unfortunately the move he used was banned in boxing so he was disqualified.
52 blocks is deadly which is why they dont want boxers using it in the ring.
When you have been through so much a calm and steady life is your haven...You have no reason to be nervous at all as you are in your comfort zone..your"HAPPY PLACE"
LOL at this idiot acting like he reading tarot cards on my life!!..you don't know me son so quit the BS and stick to the topic at hand..otherwise stuff one of these :bottle: in your mouth and sit...cause the kid games ain't for me.

the Box Nation stream was in the middle of a conversation about Crawford's style in the ring and the moment one of them said "he's street" they cut off his mic. I'm more than sure this is what the thread was influenced by... and it's certainly HBO or Top Rank advisory doesn't want to exaggerate by selling its star.
Crawford doesn't come off as anything "street."
No like I said in a previous post this thread was influenced the recent countdown documentary that aired which featured Crawford back in his home town. That's when the story of his life was told.
Considering you have never seen any part of the streets and probably listen to Chief Keef I can see how you would be easily fooled by this.
You have no say in confirming street cred. People will say **** all the time to hype themselves up. If you honestly think a guy who supposedly sold drugs, killed, robbed, etc. is going to disclose that to the entire world then you are very weak minded.

That's what they said in THIS countdown to the Postol fight. Said the bullet bounced off his skull  .
If that man isn't blessed then no-one is.
Man, they make stuff up on TV all the time. It might have grazed by him or something. I remember they tried making out that Peterson and Ortiz were some street urchins and then the truth came out that they weren't.

I enjoyed that show on Crawford. He learned from his near death experience and started living a better and smarter life. He realized that he was hanging out with a dangerous crowd and that it could get him hurt or killed. Having gone through such a near death experience might make him think nothing that bad was likely to happen to him in a boxing ring. That might help give him that calmness under pressure.
Exactly. When you're so close to death like that (one inch could have made the difference) then what is boxing in comparison? I'm sure does experience a little nerves but boy does he hide it well. Him, Rigo and Ward are the calmness dudes I've seen. Floyd walking to the ring always looked edgy to me.

He has a mean streak. Look at the Hank Lundy fight.
Yeah, when he pushed Hank during a head to head before the fight I was shocked at his reaction. Then you read up on his past and needless to say I wasn't shocked anymore :D .

How to beat a man who has a bullet-proof skull?
He's the Terminator of 140.
