You guys think they'll ever make a feature film chronicling the events of and leading up to Mayweather vs Pacquiao?
I feel like that might be possible. The richest fight in the history of the sport and most watched PPV ever. I think they got something.
There's a lot of story to work with as well. You can go into how it kept on getting delayed. Going back and forth on the reasons why it's not happening. People saying it's never going to happen. You can also delve into each fighters personal life.
You got Mayweather's lavish spending and entourage. The c0ckiness. The alleged wife beating, going to jail.
You can talk about Pacquiao being a devoted Christian, and the cheating, gambling, alcohol. Having an entire Country in his corner
The defamation lawsuit settled out of court. The media build up, the meeting in Miami. The split between fans on who's going to win. I would watch it.

NO! They may make a PACT@rD movie focusing on the pain they feel, and the tears & time they have wasted crying!
With Jamie Foxx as "Boyd Mayflower Sr."

I never knew Jamie Foxx is one ugly motha' hahaha
He's an uncanny resemblance of Floyd Sr. lol
Dude, I was joking. You know I was joking right? Drama flicks are for chicks. I don't like chick flicks hehehe
yeah I got it buddy. the paragraph was in response to the op.
lol'd.
It would be a difficult thing to create without lying, ultimately there's a build up to show a fight worth building...we didn't get that. I'm sure there will be a documentary, which too will be embellished. I thought the documentary movie, "Manny" was pretty good, but you notice they found the drama in Manny's life coming up, and in a few of his fights as the underdog while using the Marquez KO for dramatic effect. Movie's show a struggle worth overcoming. Like a Floyd film would have to focus on his youth, because his professional career lacked any real drama, so ultimately, I don't see that fight being film worthy.

It can't be a true rivalry if it was only one fight. It needs at least a sequel, but that said. What they did in the ring is emotionally empowering, the warmth and love Floyd brings for manny. That is good tv in my book.

Bro, their rivalry as you call it is straight BS. The going back and forth with his and her demands f that. Who wants to relive that crap..
Mannys true rival is JMM, why do people think its Floyd. Haha!

Yeah, there should be a movie for this drama that unfolded before, during and after all the emotional connection they both shown for each other.

A movie about the most disappointing fight in modern boxing? What a fantastic idea. Big name value and no substance. Let's call it Oceans 14.
This right here ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You can end the thread now.
Sounds deserving of a movie and certainly more interesting than two separate biopics of the two, but a documentary about the fight, ala Ali/Frazier and Ali/Foreman, sounds more likely.

I think some sort of documentary will be released, trying to focus blame or with a clear agenda, I mean the theories and discusions before the fight turned out to be more exciting than the fight itself.
But there will probably be a movie about Floyd some day, and ofcourse that fight will be a key segment.
Well that's what I'm saying. The events that fall in between the fight being proposed and the fight itself, which spans 5 and a half years, is what the movie would be about. You would have to let a lot of time pass before you actually make the movie. It would almost be like a bio pic, with 2 bios in one.
