Wilder couldnt finish a old shot fighter who is not even ranked in the top 35 and who took the fight on two weeks notice how pathetic is that he had every advantage height , reach and power. He needs to fire his basic ass 1,2 trainer who I feel is holding him back from reaching his true potential. He loses to the top hw's at this point of his career.
You went full detail on how he lacks certain skills and how he will lose but hes not average you say. He needs a new trainer I dont dislike him he has potential.
His potential has been filled really he is what he is, he is not a perfect fighter but from what he came from nobody should have expected him to look perfect.
He has turned his raw athletic talent into a workable fighting style and achieved being a top 3 or 4 heavyweight which most people might call a weak division but Wilder would still be an elite heavy at 4. Considering a large majority though he would never get even close to this current level, that is not average.
Yea he will lose eventually because he is a flawed fighter, and eventually he will lose. I am a big fan and have been since the beginning defending him the whole way against people who never even thought he would get to average, but being real most heavies eventually get knocked out so I would expect Wilder to meet that fate because he is a gunslinger and there is really only one way it ends for that sort of guy.
Just because he doesn't do thing a standard way that looks off does not mean he can't be extremely effective, which he has learned to be. Boxing is about getting the job done and Wilder while not always looking pretty and smooth does know how to use his attributes in a proper way. A lot of that is up to Breland who has turned him from this totally raw dude to an effective top end fighter, so he doesn't need a new trainer either because he clearly listens to Breland if he didn't he would have fell short long ago.
People from the beginning are always have been caught up in appearences with Wilder. Yes he does not move in a standard boxing way, and his technique not how you wold teach anyone.
However, appearance is only judging a book by it's cover and it is why detractors have been so off on Wilder because they get hung up on the negatives that they miss the positives that help to make up for it. He is not an easy guy to fight because no one fight like him and one mess up puts someone in a real problem against him, not to mention he is long which allows him to get away with fighting rather open because you can be open when out of punching range of the other guy. Someone will eventually take advantage especially as injuries pile up and he loses his great athleticism, but that doesn't make him average either.

your an idiot Wilder DID stop him with a broken hand and wilder was treating this fight like a easy sparring match doing what he wanted when he wanted

Arreola needs to retire. Hes been shot for a while now.
Wilder is an average heavyweight with tremendous power.
His skills are raw AF and his balance is off most of the time. He fights small and has a tendency to switch off throughout the fight. Maybe that's just because he fights to the level of his opponent.
Does anybody think this version of Arreola would see the 3rd round if he was in with Joshua? Would Joshua or Fury or Klitschko take a single punch off this guy? I don't think so.
Wilder is not on the level of the other top guys, but he does have that equalizer and contrary to early beliefs, seems like he can take a punch.
I'd pick Povetkin to beat him based on that performance and also his last 2-3 defenses tbh.
when did Fury have his arms on Bytchko and doing the mambo while receiving body shots?
don't confuse bronze bombing entertainment to long range showboating avoid jabs...
He had his arms on his back and still ducking punches.
I would say that's a little bit more impressive :lol1:

The bad thing is they found Chris with 2 dozen tacos and a 2 liter bottle of coke when they approach him on fighting Wilder
He fought with a broken hand and torn bicep and still dominated the fight. He could have finished arreolla at any time after the 5th round but its seems like he was either hurt or just getting rounds in, he was never in any serious trouble at all the whole fight.
He just finished off a man using only one arm. With basically the jab alone, he forced Arreola's team to retire two rounds earlier than Vitali did.
Comparing Vitali, who completely dominated Arreola in his prime 7 years ago, to now?
Either way, Vitali would have dominated Wilder as it is.
Nah. You don't know how to watch boxing. Wilder could have stopped Arreola in the first round with a few combinations, the kind that aims to end the fight. Didn't even see them in this fight.
It was so obvious he's making it look like it's a competitive fight. Arreola was so slow and open Wilder can stop him at any moment.
Thats like saying any boxer with fight ending power could finish any opponent in the first round but they choose not to. Thats a casuals mind state you must not know boxing very well. Deshawn is packing china he will not risk himself to finish a fighter early.

Wilder proved it's easy to dance in the corner while taking body shots.
Against the #43 ranked heavyweight ... I dont remember any of you giving Fury his props for dancing and shutting out the number 1 ranked heavyweight of the world.
