that Golovkin was some sort of hidden warrior mystique, fighting to clean up the sport of boxing, by putting all the belts together for the rightful middleweight fighters, all while simultaneously fending off the corporate greed and bringing back the respek in boxing?
But what if, he loses to Brook,
he would just give them all up to a WW?
haha
I'm sorry, but I wasn't thinking he'd try and sell out this badly.
But in other news, can someone explain how bouts get sanctioned? I thought one of Andre Ward's bouts wasn't cleared, so I'm kind of confused how this one would be? I'm fair to assume that Brook might be a severe underdog, like 100-1 odds.
Man, I made a lot of fun of Ca$hnelo, but I'll take it back.
haha
Goldovkin, le merchant :lol1:
I'll take them shekels goyim.
I think there needs to be a #rally4brook to represent a push against low quality matchmaking in boxing. How poetic would it be if GGG had an off night and lost it all here?
It'd make for great television, and the win would be completely valid because there's no bull**** catchweight. Kell will have stolen all of the hype from GGG and he'd have the right to puff out his chest. Someone made a thread about the most alpha moments in boxing history....Brook beating GGG might be one of them.
I would hope for that...
But at the same time, I don't think I can watch another couples of years of boxing where the middleweight division has no belts due to hostage takeovers.
Or I can watch it, with a lot of heartache and cringes. All I have is Kovalev & Ward to look forward to when it comes to bringing back the competitive, and much needed risk standards in order for boxing to restore a bit of respect.:puppy_dog
Sad thing is, it'll have been 2.5 years by the time Kell makes a legit welter defence, but probably more like 3 since he'll take a tune up after the Golovkin loss. If Kell gets the middleweight belts, lord knows how long he'll sit on them without even fighting the marginal quality contenders at 160.
