you cant compare other eras...40 is the new 30...briggs does look good and tough ,I met him years ago and he wasn't mentally strong at all. if he is mentally strong it will be a great fight, hes stronger now physically, lets see if his mentality holds up with a live guy other than foreman/Klitchko . I was knew his manager and some sparring partners like McCline,eyes don't lie,and I knew walking away from him I bet on the wrong guy. you didn't know he would lose before the fight? he is shannon briggs after all. a guy with 1 top 10 win his entire career and that came in a fight he was losing with 1 second to go. its amazing how a guy can box for 20 years without beating anyone and still stay relevant.

I think Briggs is fun but the fact that Haye has already had 2 fights since returning and Briggs would still be considered a significant step up is hilarious. Haye is just biding his time until he can scam his way into a title shot. Dude isn't going to earn it if he can help it.

Briggs is awesome. But he needs to hang em up before he gets hurt. He was something special, but he's old now. Even if he did land something big on Haye, he wouldn't be able to chase him around the ring. He's got no legs, cause he's old you know.

Brigg's circus act and KOing a few bums finally got him the big fight he wanted. Now he will make some big money but he will receive a vicious beating to earn it. even though the guys were scrubs, I was shocked how well balanced he was and his punching technique. He didnt look half as pathetic as Bowe when he tried to come back in the 2000s. Briggs actually looks like he trained hard. He looked sharp. most fighters in their 40s even the ATG look like utter crap.

I checked boxrec and there is no date set for this fight as of now. I don't know for sure if or when it will happen.
