Broner is 26 and is 5-2 against current or former world champions and has won titles in 4 different divisions....GGG is 34 and only 3-0 against current or former world champions and thats in 1 division....Please explain

ring have him 3rd, IBtimes 1st, espn 2nd, they were the first ones that popped up when i googled. Sky sports refer to him as best p4p fighter in the world although they dont have a formal list i dont think. Lol i would imagine a lot of the ggg haters on here wouldnt have them in there top 100 let alone 10
uniamous means everyone...everyone doesnt have him top 3 p4p....everyone who knows boxing does not so its not unanimous...he'll be taken more serious when his level of opposition is better....great talent, prime being waisted on welterweights, no name middleweights, and never wases
There's nothing controversial about Danny Garcia in the top 10. Especially if you put Golovkin in there.
Danny is underrated...It may be controversial to posters on this site....he arguably has the best resume of anyone considered p4p
all people talk about is the Peterson and Herrera fights...this guy has fought stiff comp for years. Guys like Khan, Peterson, Matthyssee, herrera, Holt, , back to back
He always finds a way to win. I reminds me of a welterweight holyfield. He fights to the level of his opposition at times. Is good at everything, great at nothing with a great left hook counter and good chin/heart.
I have him right outside top ten
he is on the cusp....a win over a canelo, Degale, Jack type fighter with a title and elite in their division and then he should be top ten
The guys I rate above him have taken more risks and fought better opposition yet have a comparable skill set
in no order my top ten
Chocolatito
Canelo
Danny Garcia(yes its controversial the guy had two close fights but his last 10 fights may be the toughest of anyone considered p4p)
Juan Francisco Estrada
Terrance Crawford
Inoue
RiGODeaux
Ward
Kovalev
Shinsuke Yamanaka
the guys on the cusp for me are Postol, GGG, Adonis Stevenson, Tim Bradley..they are 1 or 2 wins away from taking a spot.

I still don't understand how people rank him that high. In my top 10 pound for pound? Yes. He's far and away the best in his division and he does it with frightening ease. I'd put him in the 9-12 area. But top 3? You don't get extra points for saying "good boy."

best?
thats up for debate when these same collection of writers gave freddie roach trainer of the year, several times when other trainers had better years
accolades in boxing are more so popularity contests
Everyone has an opinion. Look up the videos. Several pro trainers and fighters acknowledge his talent but dont consider him top p4p because his resume is thin...rightfully so
GGG literally has the worst record of any so called top 3 p4p fighter of all time.

like who? are you just going to act like the burden of proof isnt' on you when you disagree with virtually every expert on boxing on the planet?
who are these people?
and who are 10 better fighters than gennady golovkin? this list is going to be pathetic, but let's see it!
like who? floyd towelboys, blackpower crusaders, bitter, biased fighters and trainers? etc?
hwo the f#Ck doesn't have gennady golovkin in his top 10 p4p?
what, other than a collection of writers, provides the best p4p lists on the planet?

by who? Many fighters, expert, trainers and even posters on this site dont have him top 5 or top ten...reason being level of opposition.

dont be lazy and watch the fights lol, yeah going to cancel work tomorrow so i can sit through all of benns fights. Alright bum was an exaggeration but he wasnt some world beater was he, as i said a lot of these fighters from the past get made out to be amazing when they werent, laughable that im being made out to be the crazy one by you two clowns for thinking golovkin (unanimously considered either 1st,2nd ,3rd in world p4p) is better than benn and eubank, two solid but limited fighters who were nowhere near any P4P lists

I've already proved that they weren't half his size. Demarco clearly wasn't, Molina wasn't , nor Taylor or many others.
Honorio is way better than advertised and no kid. His losses are to Guerrero, Salgado, Mendez, etc. Top fighters in his division.
Right because Lemieux had just beaten Rosado and N'dam...I'm actually starting to think you are trolling me or just really dense.
me saying "kid" isn't a reference to age, or disrespect. it's very common in my region.
so you think 20th ranked john molina coming off of two losses, including a knockout, is a better win than top 5 david lemieux coming off of a win over a top 10 middleweight in ndam and a solid if beatable gatekeeper in rosado?
and i'm trolling and dense? are you sure?
now are you really trying to tell me that demarco, ponce, perez, litzau, escobedo weren't giving up a ton in size? what's as important as the weigh in, or even fight night weights, is how the fighters got there.
he missed weight for several fights. he was even a pound over for the molina fight, but the comission allows a pound if you're the right fighter, and you're not ifghting for a world title.
the kid was killing himself to make weight and balooning up massively at 130. shaw was so concerned about it that he got it written into the demarco contract that broner would pay about 300k an lb IIRC. he had a big advantage in size over 130 and 135 lbers. it was well discussed in boxing circles, in the media, and even in his broadcasts.
or are you going to again try and convince me that the sky is red?
Because both said the exact same thing confirming each others story on IFL tv. In fact Kell lied in an earlier Interview and said he approached Hearn but changed his tune when Kugan asked him about what Hearn said, confirming Hearns story(and in doing so proving his version was an exaggeration)
He was also working on Brook/Vargas....Degale would have taken the deal and you know it. A GGG fight is worth more and he thinks probably easier.
I agree, GGG is making a smart move considering it doesn't back fire. Casuals won't care what weight Brook was.
I just watched Kell's interview so I know what you were talking about there. He did ask Hearn for GGG a while back though, so that would have been why Hearn told him he should take the fight instead of Eubank.
He also said that the Vargas fight had stalled, and that he would have been fighting for peanuts. If DeGale can get Badou Jack in the UK, that will be a good earner for him. Loeffler has made it clear that GGG won't be fighting anybody at 168 till next year. Again, introducing GGG to the UK fans against Brook would set up GGG/DeGale later. Providing he beats Kell, of course.
Brook seems very confident in that interview. You can see he really wants the fight and he believes he's going win it.
golovkin beats virtually everybody he fights as badly as broner used to beat up on guys half his size, and i think you're starting to come to the conclusion that golovkin's wins are over a similar tier of fighter that broner has beaten. only golovkin is doing it at his natural weight, and broner was killing himself to the point that he's missed weight several times.
and he actually lost a dull decision to a kid named martin honorio on espn, quite a similar fighter to alcine. smaller, moving up, hardly ever a world beater but a decent fighter.
molina probably was in the top 20-50 coming off of his loss to soto. i'm trying to figure that out now. he was coming in off of two losses, man. you're fighting an uphill battle if you want to convince me that it's a better win than a top 5 middleweight in the world.

He's never lost a 12 UD to a fighter like Alcine who got blown out by Macklin in 1. The ranking was because of consecutive losses to Broner, Soto and Lucas. Hardly bad fighters. I will give you that GGG beat Lemieux better than Broner beat Molina.

i don't care what any of you people call :lol1:. you'd feel the same way if somebody tried to tell you what fights you've seen
because i mentioned a molina in my list, and you brought up the other other molina
as for john molina, he's a better fighter than monroe based on the lundy and provodnikov wins but he's not a better fighter than david lemieux.
for some perspective, prior to the provodnikov win molina jr was ranked in the 60's or 70's at 140.
he's not a better win than a top 5 middleweight in the world when he's coming off of two losses, the way he was when he fought broner.

How do you know what Hearn said to Kell Brook on the phone?
Re DeGale, Hearn is supposedly working on a unification fight between Chunky and Badou Jack, in London, later this year.
Fighting Brook in the UK next will help GGG to unify 160. If the British fans like him, and they want to see more, that will make it possible to pay BJS the kind of money he wants.

Why would you assume I was talking about a fighter other than the Molina who has fought Broner,Lucas and Provdo...I'm calling bull*****
About as good a win as Willie Monroe and David Lemieux. That's the only point I've ever been making.

That's a lie, Hearn while on the phone said to Kell "you should take the fight"
I'm wondering why hes said it to Kell instead of Degale though and that's not a dig, I wonder if it's about the loyalty thing Hearn always spouts about.
GGG shouldn't be blamed for cowards ducking him, but he should be blamed for contradicting himself over Kell and being so focused on unifying a division that has two interesting fights(BJS, Jacobs) that aren't about to happen anytime soon.

i didn't realize that you were answering the question "have i left anybody out." it was mostly a rhetorical dig. i also left out the great jazon litzau and vincente escobedo.
when you started talking about molina, a name i mentioned that is as bad or worse than the golovkin contenders, ighting matthysse and provodnikov, i aseeumed you were talking about the wrong molina
and for the record, provodnikov is done. thta he made john molina look like larry holmes doesn't say much. molina wasn't even in the top 50 when that fight was signed.
but let me guess, that's a great win for broner?
