i ain't heard of that dude since he lost to postmates.
i still can't believe how much hype was surrounding him leading up the garcia fight. dudes swore he would be first to take floyd's 0 after garcia.
he'd been taking big shots in victory and defeat for a while. the molina, provodnikov, garcia, and obviously postol fights have probably taken out more than he can ever get back with a rebuild.
lots of these foreign guys are content with the money they make in america,a nd they head home to retire. matthysse made millions over the years. millions. guy was a staple on the networks. that money goes a long, long way in argie. if he never fights again i wish him all the best.
unfortunately, in boxing, when they stop trying to turn you into the next manny pacquiao, they start trying to feed you to the next manny pacquiao. that means fighting younger, often bigger guys. matthysse may decide that he doesn't need that, and retire.
i wish him all the best. he was an exciting fighter in his prime, and he was a significant part of a veyr exciting time at 140 lbs. would have loved to see him fight khan and maidana. bradley, too. he fought basically everybody else
Last time i heard Argentina is in America you fool.
So is the united States.
