Who are the best white American boxers ever? I think it goes something like...
1: Jerry Quarry
2: Kelly Pavlik
3: Tommy Morrison
4: Gene Tunney
5: Joe Smith Jr.
6: Chris Algieri
7: Butterbean
I'm not sure, though. How do you see it? And remember, Mexicans and South Americans and Puerto Ricans, generally anything from south of USA, such as Danny Garcia, doesn't count.
And by the way, let's be mature an keep racism out of this thread, it's just to find interesting information through history.
Why are there no good white American boxers today except Algieri and Smith?
Algeiri good? Lmaoo he's not even a boxer
Smith jr has the power but is sloppy as hell kov and ward would have a field day with him.
There is no good white American fighters and there hasn't in quite some time.
I'll shut up if you come with some facts...harry greb??? is that all you got? Lmmfao! Stop please just stop. that dude was garbage!
Enlighten me on how he was garbage, please.
Harry Greb is arguably the second greatest fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves p4p, and a case can be made for first. Shut up.

Most White Americans stopped boxing around the time you claim Blacks started taking over the sport though. Whites left the inner cities where the boxing gyms were/are. Regardless, it's a poor man's game.
Blacks boxed in the 30s-50s. The weakest boxing era ever was the 70s-80s ... pretty much no White Americans boxing, basically no Europeans, no (native) Africans, no Asians, etc.
And yet, I have a difficult time taking those seriously, as they boxed before black people started taking over and took boxing to a new level. The preblack boxing era must be the weakest era ever.
Fair enough. Wiilie Pep, Rocky Marciano, Joey Giardello, Billy Conn, Mike Gibbons, Gene Fullmer, and Joe Maxim are in that next group, and even then those guys only were fighting in the 40s/50s.
Keep things to the "WBC era" (any fighter who could've won a WBC belt, which was founded in '63), and the best white fighter, according to BoxRec, was Kelley Pavlik.
Rocky Marciano, Willie Pep, Jack Dempsey, Harry Greb, Stanley Ketchel, Jim Jeffries, Benny Leonard

You know for sure that white american boxers aren't the force to be reckoned with when you see people putting Joe Smith Jr. in top 5 of their best fighters
Willie Pep was a freaking defensive artist and imo one of the top 30 fighters of all times, Marciano was great but clearly behind Pep. Other than these 2 there were a lot of white American champions but I can't recall any of them that I can really call great (Not including the times where black fighters weren't allowed to fight white fighters).
Rocky Marciano-49-0-0-(43): The “Brockton Blockbuster” was the only heavyweight champion to retire undefeated, ending with a perfect 49-0. Despite being just 5-11 and roughly 185 pounds, Marciano used his ferocity, resilience, and “Suzy Q” right hand to more than make up for his size deficit. Although Marciano’s legacy is often derided because of the quality of his opposition, he must be given credit for being the first white champion to consistently defend his title against black fighters. In total he made six title defenses, against Jersey Joe Walcott, Ronald La Starza, Ezzard Charles (twice), Don ****ell, and Archie Moore. He also beat a faded Joe Louis in 1951, in what was Louis’ final bout.

Obviously clearly a troll thread but I'll bite just to embarrass him
Harry Greb, Willie Pep, Rocky Marciano, Benny Leonard, Jack Dempsey, Mickey Walker, Barney Ross, Billy Conn, Tony Canzoneri, Terry McGovern, Packey Mcfarland, , Jimmy McLarnin, Stanley Ketchel, Gene Tunney, Jack Britton, Tommy Loughran, Carmen Basilio, Oscar De La Hoya, Jake La Motta, Pete Herman, Jack O'Brien, Freddie Miller, Fritzie Zivic, Young Griffo, Teddy Yarosz.
There's at least 25 White Americans in the Top 100 Greatest Ever Boxers lists.
Gene Tunney..................................
Willie Pep
Gene Tunney is up there
Marciano not too far behind
Shot out to the Ghost Kelly Pavlik, he could have done much more with his career but he was a pleasure to watch during his time. If he stayed active we probably would have seen him fight GGG, Ward, Degale by now. Daaaa welll.....
so where are all the top elite Black American cause I don't see any......
BlacK americans are crap too
Crawford and Spence have potential... but it's too early to say how good they are gonna be. Apart from them 2 there is just lots and lots of craap or very average Black American fighters.
- Wilder is an undefeated champion and he tried to fight Povetkin. He's slightly unproven, but he can't be hated on right now.
- Mayweather is P4P#1.
- Ward is the best fighter at 175lbs and below, half-European half-American Black, the two best races in boxing.
- Timothy Bradley is a true elite fighter, having beaten everyone he fought, including Marquez and tons of undefeated fighters, with his only 3 losses coming against Pacquiao.
- Crawford is a proven elite fighter and that will be all the more clear when he beats the **** out of Postol.
- Errol Spence is the guy who made Thurman so scared that he didn't even want to fight him with a Mayweather fight being the reward!
- There are many other solid American boxers who, while not elite, are competive. For example Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman, Adrien Broner, Andre Dirrell, Anthony Dirrell, etc.
