Writers and haters continue to bash pbc and yet almost every single card is entertaining as hell. How about come enjoy the ride and quit following the boxing writers on twitter who are on GBP/HBO payroll. My guess is they found a way to try and steal Warrens moment then put their foot in their mouth talking about how much of a joke the Smith Fonfora matchup was. Its ok boxing hipsters you're allowed to enjoy PBC
They should put the big names on the NBC cards
I agree but it seems like big name fighters in boxing want more money than most networks can afford. The trend isn't only with Haymon fighters, Crawford vs Postol is heading to PPV. That type of fight would have been on regular HBO a few years ago.....
its pretty funny how pbc fanboys didn't give a crap about entertainment value when guys like floyd were fighting baldomir and stinking out the joint. they kept mentioning ratings, money, etc...now since pbc doesn't have any money or ratings they love those exciting knockouts and competetive fights.
Right - those fights are just coming up. Before the Quillin/Jacobs fight, PBC's record of matching their top fighters was very spotty. They have too many fighters to keep them away from each other.
I'm not crapping on PBC at all. But if you look at the divisions that PBC has most of the top fighters (WW, SWW and SMW), there's a lack of hierarchy because the fights have not been made. They're on the right path.
i just think people overact because there are so many cards obviously theres gonna be espn, nbc etc cards that arent ur typical saturday prime time cards but so what its still boxing and pbc almost every single time delivers on entertainment
like who? thurman and porter fight next week and it sounds like garcia broner is next. khan just fought canelo, spence is just coming on the scene. frampton vs santa cruz is about to happen after santa cruz already fought mares. what am i missing they already are fighting eachother they just get no credit because a lot of their cards are getting some of their other guys exposure

It's good that there's more boxing to watch, but PBC needs to start matching up their fighters. Just because we got an upset does not mean the cards they're putting on are great. It just means there was an upset.

Fonfora/Smith was a joke
The only reason we are talking about it entertainment wise is because the unexpected happened which has to do more with the elements of boxing rather than a promotional entity. If you think otherwise you are the same cancer as the rest of the fan boy's
the unexpected has pretty much been the case for every pbc card not sure why u expected anything different this time. obviously it wasnt as big of a joke as the boxing writers on twitter who are paid to bash haymon thought
I follow their youtube channel and its great having new boxing to watch every week. Their highlights are good for getting into new fighters and their have been quite a few ive started following off the back of them. I don't think they do a great job of hyping their more important fight to get casuals involved, but then im a hardcore fan and dont need much hyping.
I always wondered if they could have a slightly different brand for the big fights so people know when they are getting an important fight and when they are getting a development or lower level fight. Kind of like HBO do with FNF, BAD and HBO ppv. You know basically what level of fight you can expect before you even know who is fighting.
I dont think PBC is perfect, but far from the sh*tfest many would make it out to be. If they can get through these earlh years and start picking up some TV deals i can see them being around for a long time, whether they can ve the dominant force they want to be? I dont know. Time will tell. Even with their financial problems, HBO still represents the top level of the sport for a huge chunk of the casual US fanbase. It will either take a long time to break that level of brand, or they may both need to bite the bullet and work with each other

I think it's fantastic to have more accessible boxing programming. Beyond me how people get caught up in wanting boxing's return to TV fail. The allegiances fans make are, to put it gently, sad.
agreed i dont get it and pbc cards are almost always entertaining even when its not the name fighters. hell we got thurman porter in a week

Was a entertaining card.
Still won't change it's inevitable upcoming death though.
their death is not going to happen they just getting started. when the tv deals start coming u haters are just going to have to deal with more entertaining shows

agreed but with amount fighters and shows PBC has of course not every single card is going to be name fighters and im ok with that. Just means we get to see more fights
