Pretty much this, though I will say this. If, and its a big if. If he could become undisputed at 130 along with beating Walters and Salido. That would be huge. Pretty much everyone outside of maybe Salido are in their prime. How he will be judged after that will depend on what the guys he beats go on to do. That said, several guys at 130 have the chance to make a real run on at least HoF careers. Why I'm so excited about the division. If these guys all fight each other, whoever comes out on top, will be a bad man.
112, 126, 130, 147, 200 and heavy are the weight classes im zeroing in on...they have such a variety of different styles and talent
that said Loma can be an all time great if he keeps doing what he is doing and can remain in top form or even better than his form now
sky is the limit. I will say this....Loma is a special fighter. Once we see him beat a big puncher then he is in the running. He has already dealt with swarmers(Siri),an all arounder like Martinez, boxer punchers( Russell) and extreme speed(russell) now its time to see can he. He definitely has the talent to clean out 126 and 130....I just wish we could have seen some unifications before the move up.
there isn't the talent from 130-140 for him to carve out a career like that. Also top ten all time is some legendary guys who have done things that may never be done again
its impressive what Loma has done but lets be realistic. He wont two trinkets....No lineal titles....no unifications.
Let him accomplish a bit more before we get ahead of ourselves

You're crazy, that thread wasn't even started by eastern euro to begin with, and most of the people on this site who's jumping on the hype train aren't even from Europe, maybe you're gonna call Pacquaio fans "Filipinos" too?
Most of the weirdos on here are either eastern euros of gheto african americans
Golovkin...amazing resume and opposition.. industry writers have not been following boxing, clearly they believe Lil'G has fought the "best" to brag and write about....
Kova...hand gifted belts by gramps-Hop, beat a beaten Pascal by Hops too
Loma...the best resume ever..
Yeah man clearly Eastern Euros are ruling... lol
Lara, Rigo, Ortiz, Dorticos, Barthelemy...Cubans and Eastern Euros now shinning but Americans and Mexicans "still ain't?"
Not saying Americans, and Mexicans are not shining. Boxing's biggest stars are usually American, Mexican, and Puerto Rican. Just mentioning that there is spot light on people from countries which don't usually get acknowledged in this sport.
Before Manny (in recent times) did Philippines have a super star?
How many Kazakhstani boxers have ever been on HBO? Or headlined events in the U.S.?
How many Russian fighters have been in most people's pound for pound list?
I'm just pointing out that I like that boxing has stars from all over. Don't get salty because people from different places are shining man. These guys are not all-time greats yet, but only time will tell.
Its like with Floyd, everyone got so caught up with hating him that they did not get to fully enjoy his mastery. Now they will miss seeing someone with that level of skill.
Salido should have at the very least had points deducted. Horrible job by Laurence Cole.
Yea, Salido is as dirty as they come and he's one of many guys who consistently get away with too much. However, if you fight these guys the onus is on you to prepare for what they do. You know Wlad is going to clinch, Hopkins is going to headbutt, Salido with aim low when the ref is behind his right shoulder. I don't think it's cool at all, but it's part of the game and Loma learned a lot that night.
Devil's advocate here, but Lomachenko's win over Gary Russell Jr. is probably better than any win of all those fighters you listed.
You're ignoring the fact that the anti-Lomachenko brigade with an agenda are trying to use that fight as the end-all-be-all of Lomachenko and his career.
Russell? Another guy who hasn't actually done much as a pro. Even Broner did more before the Maidana fight than Russel has done and that's painful to admit.
I don't know what you mean by me "ignoring" but, as always, the truth lies somewhere in-between. I don't think Loma should be defined by the Salido loss, but you guys CAN'T ignore it either. It happened, not long ago, and it was very telling. I think he's learned a lot. I predicted that he would have to start sitting down on his punches if he wanted to keep strong fighters off him because those quick pitty-pats are what allowed Salido to mob him. Loma did that against Martinez. He didn't float around as much because he was implementing power, which gave Rocky reasons to think twice, keep his distance, and hesitate.
That said, in doing this he ate too many power shots from a slow fighter, a fighter who isn't nearly as fresh as he was against Garcia. If Rocky connected on 29% of power punches, Garcia certainly will and he's a much harder puncher than Loma. I don't think it's an easy fight at all, but I'd lean toward Garcia, if he's still at the level he was.
Lol, this^.
These guys can't just watch a fighter create a legacy, they have to start declaring him a GOAT when he's 6-1. FFS, give him some time.
Price, Matthysee, Bute, Broner, all reasons why you should let a fighter prove himself against top (or even good) competition before claiming his place in history. Give Loma some time.

Other fighters have beat Salido while acquiring low blows, head butts, etc. Weak excuse. You guys need to accept the loss because the excuses make you look like these Cotto fans crying about plaster.

It was 11 pounds. He also landed more than 20 low blows.

You ruin everything.

hes already been exposed by salido
Hes an arm puncher, so he'll never be able to move up and dominate like Pacquiao did
Salido cheated his ass off in the first fight. 20 lowblows and he had a 20 pound weight advantage and still got taken to the limit. Loma stops him in a rematch.
I will say this, as I was watching the fight before the knock out I thought to myself damn this guy has the skills to move up divisions, and the speed, and power to be competitive. I think Loma will have a great career.
I think a lot of people are mad because of the cyclical nature of boxing. One day mexicans , puerto ricans, filipinos, brits, americans are on top, and now its the Eastern Europeans.
I can't wait to see how Golovkin, Kovalev, Loma do in their careers as they step up their opposition. Let's just enjoy it. Boxing is a beautiful sport, let the Eastern Europeans shine man. They are exciting as hell, and have boxing skills to boot. Boxing is one of the few sports in which pretty much every Nationality has had some success.
I really hate being a fan of a fighter whose fanbase consists of racists like Golovkin and Pac=Duran but whatever. Loma is everything I enjoy in a fighter. He will rule the sport as long as he stays dedicated.
the eff is this ? he kod martinez...that means he is good but not great. Loma has a long way to go, beat Salido, unify his division, move up and win more titles and look dominant along the way.
You eastern euros have lost the plot.
