Around the 2:40 mark Shane is asked if he thinks Alvarez and Golovkin will fight. Shane says he doesn't get why they wont fight, maybe its a different era...the Mayweather era where you beat all the small guys first then fight bigger opponents......what the hell is Shane talking about?
When has Floyd ever camped out at a weight class waiting for small guys to move up to challenge him? If I'm not mistaken Floyd was always calling out bigger opponents, challenging them, and telling them he would move up to fight them any time. When has Floyd ever not fought the top fighter at a weight division: He fought Genaro Hernandez the best at 130, Castillo the best at 135, Gatti (who at that time was the best at 140 since Tsyzu retired and Hatton didn't want it). He fought Baldomir and Judah at 147 (The lineal and IBF Champion) He fought Oscar at 154, then went back up for Cotto, and went back up again for Alvarez!!
And even when Floyd was the bigger guy for a change he fought Marquez who was the best at 135 when that fight happened. And though he fought Hatton at 147, Hatton by no means was the smaller man!
And thats not even counting Pacquiao, Diego Corales, or Mosley, fights he just threw in for the hell of it!
I see no way any fighter or person can say that Floyd didn't fight bigger men or that he camped out one weight waiting for smaller guys to move up. Floyd has always been the guy who called other fighters out, the only time I can remember other fighters calling out Floyd was Mosley, Marquez, Hatton and Margarito, the only one he didn't fight was Margarito, the plaster using cheater!! People..fighters even, want to pretend that Floyd just snuck his way to the top....no, what he did was fight all the fights that mattered, all the big and small, and when he got his PPV shot he took the ball and ran with it!
Why people hate on him is ridiculous, the man proved himself in the ring over and over again!
He's a cherrypicking disgrace whose career is littered with bums who happened to hold a belt at the moment like Baldomir and Ortiz, which he used to duck the real threats of the division, like Margo and Pacquiao.
A clever con man who doesn't hold a single W over a HOF fighter in his prime yet calls himself TBE. He was good in the lower weights but after beating the corpse of DLH he lost his balls and never fought a real challenge again.
Last 10 years of Floyd's career are a joke, fought nothing but tailor made no hopers or big names past their prime, while using all kind of bs shenanigans to give himself more unfair advantage, weight draining them, cheating them on the scales, forcing them to wear pillows, having his own bodyguard referee in the ring, or simply pumping himself full of PEDs with the blessings of corrupt antidoping agencies while making sure his opponents couldnt do the same.
He'll go down in history as a rich coward
This is just not true.
Pac turds like to accuse Mayweather of cherry picks lets look at some of Pacquiaos wins.
Morales 2 - coming off a loss to Raheem
Morales 3 - coming off losses to Raheem and Pacquiao
Barrera 2 - coming off loss to JMM
ODLH - weight drained, coming off loss to Mayweather and bad performance against Forbes
Hatton - Got stopped by Mayweather, looked terrible against Lazcano
Cotto - Got destroyed against Margarito, very close fight with Clottey
Clottey - Coming off loss to Cotto
Margarito - Coming from suspension after being destroyed by Mosley
Mosley - Coming off a loss to Mayweather and Draw to Mora
A loss? Ali lost to Frazier and Frazier lost to Foreman. So are you saying that Foreman should not have fought Ali? Foreman was cherry picking Ali? :lol1:
Another point: What about Cotto, ODLH, Mosley's losses and or long layoffs prior to Floyd? What goes for Manny must go for Floyd. Sorry.
The funniest cherry pick of all time was having the fans pick between Khan and Maidana. Floyd picks the loser! :lol1:
The sad one for Floyd was having Marquez come up nearly 3 divisions then cheating on the scales.
The "nobody predicted cherry pick": Berto!
BTW - Most of the above are really good fights for Manny, not cherry picks. The most questionable is Mosley but that is the guy who you said Manny avoided the year earlier. :lol1:
Who Pacquiao ducked to fight Clottey instead.
Nope. Manny fought Cotto instead of Mosley. Going by your other logic of losing, well, Manny fought the winner between Cotto vs Mosley.
Everyone knew except maybe you that Arum would have a Cotto fight over a Mosley fight.
I guess you didn't actually read my original thread....the fights you listed make me chuckle, those are just extras Floyd threw in yet they would be huge wins for every other fighter in the sport!
Wow please shut up you are embarrassing yourself you really dksab if you think berto,Ortiz Guerrero would be big wins for a different fighter, they never had any business holding a belt, if you knew boxing you would know this but you are a pathetic groupie. Read about the real tbe named Ali that's how a real champ looks like.
Gatti the best at 140?
Ortiz the best at 147? Or Berto? Or Guerrero?
I could go on but you don't want it.

Name the in his prime ATG great that Mayweather has fought.
You still fail to realize that Mayweather is the ATG, it's never been about who did he beat, it's always been about who can beat him! Right now as it stands....nobody!
Fans of other fighters know their favorite fighter will never live up to what TBE has accomplished and it hurts them deep down to their soul. The same with other fighters. I believe he will go down as the best ever.

To answer the question, only 140.
But at 140 Floyd wanted the #1 guy desperately, which was Kosta Tszyu. Once it became apparent that fight wasn't going to happen he fought the next highest ranked guy which at that time was Arturo Gatti.
i didnt list Mosley, did i? im saying Shane didnt fight him in 07 because his boss oscar wanted Floyd.
It wasn't 07, it was 06.
Fight would have happened before the Oscar fight.
The fact Mosley tried to say he'd fight Floyd next year (2007) tells you right there he didn't want the fight because he knew full well Oscar was going to fight Floyd in May.
Mosley was the man at WW when he beat him not Pacquiao, then Mayweather was the man. Pacquiao was never the best at WW.
MOSLEY was the man who was about 39 and inactive for 16 months and showed it.
.
Because Mosley knows what time it is.
Mosley said it that in the lower weights, he had asked Floyd if he was moving up to 135. Which was where Mosley was at and Floyd said he wanted to stay at the lower division to clean up that division.
Later, Floyd didn't want any Mosley fight at 154 and when Mosley said to just wait a month or two more, Floyd said no and fought Baldomir. Strange move by Floyd considering that he wanted to retire. Who do you want on your resume, Baldomir or Mosley?
Other names are Margarito, Manny in 2009/2010, didn't fight an undefeated Cotto, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez who called Floyd out. He called out Winky Wright but once Winky came to the table, Floyd left it in a hurry.
As some pointed out, Canelo was still green, had issues and weakened by the 152 CW.
Floyd took on opponents while trying to get all the advantages possible while trying to remove the opponents advantages.
I think you'll find Mosley was the man at WW after he beat Margarito who destroyed Cotto. Mayweather fought him.
i didnt list Mosley, did i? im saying Shane didnt fight him in 07 because his boss oscar wanted Floyd.
140 Tszyu
147 in 06-08 Margarito and Cotto
09-12 Pacquiao
Pacquiao, Cotto, nor Margarito where ever the best at 147, I believe Floyd has owned that title since moving to the division
140 Tszyu
147 in 06-08 Margarito and Cotto
09-12 Pacquiao
I also like how people overlook the context of the infamous toothache....what was shane gonna say, "My boss is cuckolding me and wants Floyd first"?

You should know by now that the clowns/haters on this site will not accept facts. The haters on this site have the same mentality as Vic Darchynian and JCC Jr. Both got KO'd in a fight and swore afterwards that they were never hurt by their opponent.
The Mayweather haters on this site are the type of people who would swear they weren't hot while roasting in hell!
He retired before Floyd even got to 140, and losing to Ricky Hatton should make you question whether Tsyzu is as good as you think he is.
Floyd moved to 140 fight for the first time when he defeated DeMarcus Corley on 22/5/04. Tszyu retired in 05 after losing to Hatton.
