As a GGG fan Sanchez annoys the f#@k out of me

not always a fan of trainers talking, but i understand why they do it. some of it is for personal gain and publicity, some is for the publicity of their fighters. lots of these guys like attention. floyd SR, abel, roach, they like to talk, to have people listen, and they're rarely at a loss for an opinion. they're teachers, and experts on boxing. if you compare him to roach or floyd SR, abel is pretty much a saint. is it any coincedence that some of the biggest fighters on the planet have gotten their trainers and managers in on the PR machine? it's got you talking about the fighters on social media, contributing to free publicity. roach and sr even stir up controversy, which generates even further publicity. every time you say "gennady golovkin" on a forum, your instagram account, your facebook, you are a publicist. you're publishing. you're contributing to the awareness of these dudes and their careers. you might not be giving them explicitly good publicity, but by talk about them you are publicizing them. very true... but still annoying as hell.

I don't really find him all that annoying. If Abel was some new trainer who only claim to fame was taking GGG to the championship level than maybe I would. But we're talking about a guy who took Terry Norris from twice defeated contender to world champion to a Hall of Famer. I say let the man enjoy his time in the sun because honestly he didn't receive the credit he deserved during the 80's and 90's.

I believe Sanchez is trolling on purpose so negativity would focus on him. He's not smart because it isn't working. It is working because people are so invested on hating GGG or maybe I should say some.

Ive never been a fan of trainers running their mouths, especially as it pertains to future opponents, etc. The trainers job is to prepare the fighter for whichever opponent the fighter's promoter / manager have selected. Thats it. They are not the fighter's PR department, or personal spokesperson, and 95% of the time their comments add nothing constructive........ Couldn't agree more. Mostly they come across as idiots. I enjoy Atlas when he's doing his ESPN thing but once he was training Timmy he just seemed dickish. Goes for all of them that blabber a load. Tell us how your fighter is doing or how they can win the upcoming fight but otherwise shut up. I never understood why anyone would bad mouth an upcoming opponent. If you lose you look like a Schmuck and even if you win you said they were **** and easy work. I would hope that a trainer is smarter than that but sadly it doesn't seem to be the case.

His a hater in my opinion. Trying to diminish mayweathers achievements too. Someone should remind him of ggg's achievement Sanchez should just be honest and say " I dont know how to train someone to prepare for a fighter like ward" instead of crap on his own fighter like he did barrera, save guard GGG from SOG or anyone else with a pulse or championship credentials....he just likes the attention he gets being the trainer of a fighter that already knew how to fight before he got him...just like freddie roach overrated azz.....7 time trainer of the year yet some of those years he lost most of his big fights....screw sanchez, he is a joke. He is overrated as fvck and all his fighters were decent before he got to them.

Honestly every day i come on here Sanchez is talking more and more crap, it won't effect my enjoyment of seeing GGG fight and i will always be his fan but man Sanchez just keeps spewing crap. I'm a fan of golovkin,not Sanchez. Just like im a fan of Pacquiao,not Roach. The coach can talk all the smack they want,and I don't take it seriously. When the fighters themselves start saying things,thats what I pay attention to.

He's worse than roach. As an objective viewers I can say that easily. The guy talks out of his ass way too much

Abel is just very accessible to the boxing media. He answers his phone, does podcasts, grants interviews, etc. GGG is the most talked about boxer in the world so of course he is going to have all types of quotes. I don't always agree with him but he is usually reasonable.

Don't get me wrong i agree with a lot of stuff he says but a lot of it is crap too that true or not could be better unsaid, and maybe because boxing scene breaks it into so many articles that it is also annoying and feels like every day he says something new.
