That's exactly why you don't know that there is a natural hierarchical order of things. We live in a society that basically has a safety net for the weakest amongst us. If this was a different time most weak men would have no means of survival. But you can still tell even today that not all men are created equally.
Some men are born stronger, smarter, and more capable than others. Usually these would have been considered the alphas in ancient times. Today, they are just the guys who are successful business men, athletes, or entrepreneurs.
I might agree if everything wasn't so convoluted by money and wealth. our society has evolved to the point of natural order being virtually eliminated. many of the notions about hierarchy in animal groups has been since proven antiquated...in the wild they are usually in more of a family structure, where hierarchy is determined similar to our own families. many of the studies that led to the conclusions about alpha, beta etc. were done on individual animals put together in captive settings. this would be similar to studying human behavior in a prison.
Why would anyone want to apply this to humans anyway? How does one's perceived self awareness of where they "fit" into a so called hierarchy benefit them in any way? If anything, it just leads to people trying to adhere to some externally based social structure to define who they are, and trying to act out the qualities they believe will somehow make them their desired status. Let's not talk about survival of the fittest and the natural order of things when we all live in a society that basically does everything for us, which is only achieved by relying on others. Most of these would be alpha males would probably die within a couple of weeks left to survive on their own.

Can an aging, shot-to-pieces Alpha male boxer kick an in-his-prime beta male boxer's ass? or no?
What are some examples if true?
:haha: what a quality thread. Such quality belongs more in a PUA thread than a boxing forum.
Why does all this alpha beta bs always come up around here? Yall some gays or what? What heterosexual man talks about "alpha males"
Lmao...what I be thinking smh
You guys need to pick up a book. Do some studies and you'll discover that there is such a thing as a social hierarchy amongst animal groups. It ranges from Alpha (the most dominant and strongest of the group) to Omegas (the weakest members of the group). Since human beings aren't that far removed from animals there is evidence of a social hierachy existing amongst humans. Have you ever heard of the term "survival of the fittest?" Well yeah, that has to do with the natural order of things.

Lmao. You can easily just say a past prime ATG vs a prime fringe contender, but I guess alpha vs beta works too? IDK
