SHO / CBS are in advance talks to show the Garcia v Khan rematch on PPV.
No way in hell, is this fight a PPV. I mean it could probably do 150k buys at best, and that is if Angel Garcia goads Khan into a verbal battle. Garcia is not a big name, and Khan is coming loss. They would have to sell this fight at $49 tops.
Is the reason that it would be on PPV that regular Showtime / Network tv can't generate the money needed to pay Garcia and Khan their purses?
Hmmm...After Khan suffered that ugly KO lost that truly crippled any chance that this fight be put on PPV. But lets get it on!
The thing is that I don't see non PPV, satisfying both fighters. Khan being interim and Garcia as champion, that is a 55/45 split in Garcia's favour. On non PPV, this fight does a combined purse of $4/5 Million. Not enough money to satisfy both fighters in my opinion.

Had this fight been made before the Canelo fight it would have been a good PPV. One of the things Khan is most famous for is his knockout vs Garcia. Clips has/had literally gone viral. The first fight and its reaction had such a spark that the second one would definitely be a feast for the boxing fanatics/casuals alike.
Now that Khan is coming off a knockout loss I don't think it generates that interest
