So what is stopping this fight from happening? it wont happen....Ward is too dangerous and in another weight class it would be a mismatch and would ruin the hype train. Ward moving up to take on a bigger challenge in Kovalev is stopping it from happening. It's a better fight in every way. Who cares about Ward fighting Golovkin now that he is taking on Kovalev? I have a ton of respect for Ward for challenging himself. GGG should take notes.

when the fight was first mentioned, ward still had legal issues with his former promotional company. nobody had any idea when or if he was even going to box again. he also wanted 2-3 tune-up fights before facing golovkin. no real offer was made until after golovkin had signed the contract to fight lemieux. i dont even know why people still talk about this fight or argue about who ducked who. in my opinion, this fight was never a reality. for all we know, ward can't even make 168 anymore. it's been almost 3 years since he's fought in that division.

and floyd was willing to fight hoya but not spinks even though spinks was ranked higher yet no one brings that up because selective amnesia is going around. even though this isn't the same thing at all since ggg already tried to fight ward and he said no and then ward tried to fight ggg for 50-50 and if spinks had tried to do that with floyd you would have laughed but here you are claiming duck because your brain has been switched to extremely biased mode where you have incredibly fluctuating standards on what ducking is depending on who you like. No one is talking about Mayweather man..fact is Ward being at 175 is not the reason the fight isnt happening..but we are beyond that now
