First, I had the feeling that Wilder didn't want to fight anyone good since his win against Stiverne. Then he agreed to fight Povetkin, even in Russia, which impressed me a lot. Then Povetkin turned out to be on illegal substances and the fight would be rescheduled. That disappointed me a lot. Povetkin was the coward, not Wilder. Then, Wilder suddenly want the fight cancelled instead of rescheduled... And I'm like... Fvck them both. They're good boxers, but they show no respect to the fans. This would have been an epic fight to watch, but it's all ruined because both of them are so damned unprofessional.
never... Floyd's IV injection never got that fight rescheduled.. the testing agency kept quiet and it went ahead
Why would it get the fight rescheduled? He didn't fail a drug test. Apples and oranges.
Has nothing to do w Wilder and everything to do w Povetkin and the WBC. It's also another mark on the untrusted Russian athletes. I'm very disappointed I won't be watching a HW bout this upcoming weekend. Anybody know where the Haye fight is airing in the states?

Povetkin fcuked up the fight and there is no reason to accommodate him. It is up to the sanctioning body if they are going to still enforce the mandatory and in what time frame.
Plus they should be some type of suspension for Pove
At times, this site never cease to amaze me...I mean this has to be on of the dumbest threads ever I read in my entire time of posting on boxing scene...you dudes have some serious issues.
Its idiots like the TS thats killing this beloved site...I think its time to just give up on this site. SMFH:nonono:
Why the fck should Wilder give a payday to a fighter that is a cheater? What's wrong with you?
To be fair It was not Wilder giving him anything it was the Russian promoter that was going to give Wilder his best payday ever.
When did Mayweather ever piss dirty like Povetkin?
As soon as he illegally took part in using an excessive amount of IV fluids in his own homeplace, If you have to do something like that its just blatantly obvious.
The guy is a cheater.

Since when do fighters caught cheating get to reschedule fights?
Wait, so you're upset that Wilder went through negotiations, a purse bid, didn't vacate the belt, trained in the uk before going to Russia, didn't complain after the purse bid, passed his drug tests, had an opponent who failed his by trying to be sneaky and decides to not fight him and that's why you're upset with him?
It ain't even about who you're a fan of, but to be upset with Wilder is odd to say the least
:lol1:
"Can we just reschedule to a time when I'm NOT cheating?"
I'm confused as ****. I knew we had some dumb posters here, but this seriously takes the piss.
Well Mayweather was cheating for how many years but he never caught this much flack.
I know it doesn't fit your agenda, but you still need proof to convict
Wilder and his team are smart to stay away . Povetkin is a dirty cheat and suspicious **** always goes on in russia. He might have just been masking something even worse than meldonium.
We have a very disturbing "element" in this sport's fan base that must be challenge at the lease and eradicated at the most.
I agree 100%.
We should at least challenge them and call them out on their BS whenever we see it.
It's definitely understandable that Wilder doesn't want to face Povetkin, now that he's been caught cheating. If Povetkin was bold enough to take a banned substance after it was banned, he must have been confident that it wouldn't be detected. With reports of masking agents being available, it should make Wilder suspicious of what did not get detected.
He's in a win win situation, and imo chose the correct option.
Absolutely nothing.
I get not being a fan of his. I'm not worried about that, but to be upset that he isn't going through with a fight where his opponent cheated on purpose is baffling.
I would call it sad, not baffling. The racist trolls, you know what they are about so they can be ignored.
It's upsetting when solid posters want to give Povetkin every chance to prove himself clean when they never do that with others that have tested positive, especially when its VADA testing involved.
