PPV numbers a/b side who cares ?

There's a trend now to discuss ppv numbers and who's the a side or b side among fans. As fans why do you care how many ppv buys there were. It might be interesting to see and that's about it. It makes no difference to anyone who's a side. In this regards I'm talking about the canelo/go looking fight. I've seen mentions of who's the bigger ppv star who's the a side. If your working for them fair enough otherwise it should make no difference to anybody. We should be demanding better fights not ppv number's. Mayweather has left a sad legacy behind. He may have been one of the best. But all this ppv talk and a/b side crap is what his legacy will be to future fighters The days of fighters simply showing up and scrapping, while the promoters take home all of the event upside, are over. With fighters taking home the pot nowadays, economic value brought to the event by each fighter is more important now than ever.
