Yeah, because it's ggg who makes the boring fights that goto the scorecards. He's the one who has ALL the advantages on scorecards.
my bad...
i didnt explain my self properly, if ggg fights kazaha style vs a counter puncher like canelo it might end up being a boring fight, due to the styles clash, but if he fights mexican style it should be fireworks...
Unless GGG ages over night, he stops Canelo, whether its this year or next is irrelevant but this year is the best point at making the fight. The top two guys should fight without whinging and moaning.
but fighters will eat leather that night, unless ggg comes kazaha style(lemule fight) and makes a boring fight that will go to the scorecards...

Canelo is durable. This will be a long sustained beating with Alvarez slowing and slowing until his corner stops the fight.
Sig it.

WTF??? please name one fight where canelo was above 155??
nobody is talking about fight night weight here...
i was talking about that. Night fight.
Canelo is bigger than Riddick Bowe on night fight, lol.
how in hell can you say 160 in his first fight?
He always comes in way over that limit.

If there is anyone more durable than Murray from 154-160 it's probably Canelo. Murray lasted 11 rounds with Golovkin, granted he took a beating later on after having an okay start. But I think that Canelo can do much better than what Murray did, a more sustained performance, a better mover/boxer, and more accurate
if i remember correctly there were moments where canelo was being walked down by floyd. GGG will put a beating on carrot top
Can't compare Floyd to GGG. Floyd was doing it because he was trading with counters and avoiding everything he'd throw. Similar in a sense with Khan and Canelo. It was skill he wasnt being overwhelmed.
GGG may knock the ginger off Canelo but there's also the chance that GGG gets Angulo'd and just had everything thrown at him countered.
Anyone saying it will be like Lemieux is silly. Even Tapia labded every jab on Lemieux... Canelo is over here knocking dudes out that try to jab with him. His reflexes and skills are too good to be dominated with one arm like Lemieux. Canelo has the best chance to beat GGG from the 154-160 guys. Ggg is favored but Canelo is more than live. If anyone will ever beat GGG it'll be Canelo. He's got the tools for it. We can hate on Canelo all we want but he's the truth as well. GGG might be too much but I wouldnt be shocked either if Canelo embarassed GGG.

What you come in at isn't your weight class, he's never fought at the 160 limit. We'll see how he looks.
For the record, people greatly exaggerate the 'Canelo's killing himself to make weight' statement. Outside of the 152 catchweight, Canelo has looked big and healthy at every weigh in and stated every time that he makes weight without difficulty.
Guys like Brandon Rios (at 135) are what fighters killing themselves to make weight look like; gaunt and zombified.
it will be interesting to see how canelo does in his first fight at 160, he could be stronger but he can also be slower, who knows...

Right on.
Funny thing is, he would likely perform even better if he didn't drain himself so damn much..
Yup...It is only a matter of time before the body stops cooperating. Some dudes do this and the body says enough is enough. Next thing you know, they not only cannot make the weight they are aiming for, but even the weight class above it becomes a struggle. Look at Broner as an example.
Canelo is in his prime now. If he keeps fighting the scales, his prime may be short. The game he is playing is a very risky one.

It may be a body shot that gets him. I think he will chip away on Canelo similar to what he did with Lemule. There are plenty of questions. Nobody knows how Canelo will handle Golovkins power. I think he will stand up to it and keep trying to fight. I do think it will eventually be stopped by the ref or his corner though but like I've said before Canelo may come out and best the hell out of Golovkin.
This is actually an interesting question...
GGG - pretty much past prime, but still a monster
Canelo - just entering prime
Right now it's about as 50/50 as it will ever get IMO.
The longer they wait, the higher Canelo's chances get.

Nah, don't see it. Canelo's built like a tree and has good defense. Don't think he would go down from a body shot. It would be a slow methodical beatdown, and it should go to the scorecards, probable with no knockdowns.
You don't think that putting on 20 pounds of water weight over night is taxing on the organs? One well placed liver shot will decimate the diva.
