What on earth would Khan have to gain by fighting Ortiz? Boxrec had Ortiz at 58th in the welterweight division before Berto KOed him. He probably dropped down to about 75th after Berto KOed him. Khan was ranked 3rd in the world at welterweight before Canelo KOed him and he is still probably ranked as a top 5 in the world welterweight. Ortiz is pretty much a nobody in boxing now having been KOed recently by Lopez and Collazo and now Berto. Nobody takes Ortiz seriously any more. A win over Ortiz does nothing for Khan. Khan is far more skilled than Ortiz and would knock him out but why bother. Khan has a title shot waiting for him with Garcia.

Ortiz does his usual "acting" that he's hurt on his knees crawling and can't beat the 10 count. That's how he goes out when he's not quitting on his stool.

Most likely Khan dances his way to victory. But with his chin, even this fight could be a stoppage loss if he gets caught as cleanly as he did against Alvarez.

Khan has much better options Ortiz has nothing, Berto was his last chance at gaining a small amount of respect back It would be a fight that Khan could win
