Khan doesnt have the timing or eyes to throw WITH Canelo like Floyd did. He'd let out a fast, stiff right hand and hed get there quicker and then pull away. Canelo wasn't just winging wild left hooks... He was telegraphing them because Khan ALWAYS moved to his left which means Canelo was putting him into place for his right hand to the body. Canelo set traps and feints all night and Khan had zero answer for Canelo's experience and boxing IQ. Canelo was constantly and purposely shooting his left jabs and hooks and stepping in deep with his lead foot and giving Khan only his (Khan's) left side to retreat. This was honestly a complete mismatch skill wise. I love Khan and his retarded self. He lays it on the line and has heart for days but... Yeah man...it's real in that ring lol

I think you under estimate Khan's skill . He was able to make canelo struggle for the first 4 rounds with his speed am d boxing. He just needed to add his will and power to the equation. You don't need knock out power you need to control the tempo of the fight and let canelo know he can't bully you. His done it before he just needed the confidence to do it against canelo. I appreciate that you're a fan, but that wasn't even a sparing session for Canelo.

If Khan was aggressive with Canelo he would have got knockout quicker. The way he wins was do what Floyd did, constantly change directions, throwing a lot of single scoring precise shots, slowing Canelo down and than unleash combos later on. Khan doesn't have the patiences to stick to a precise game plan. Having watched the knockout again, on Canelo's part, it is brilliant, the way he circles Khan in one direction to setup the right cross. On the other it is stupidly/sloppyniess, whatever you want to call it by Khan, in that he fell straight into the trap.

FFS - some of the Khan fans are more deluded than Amir himself. Khan has no real power at 147 let alone 155. His hand speed is the ONLY advantage. His 'footwork' only helps him early rounds - 4 rounds in and... He start to make MISTAKES like standing in front of his opponent. Floyd fought a weight drained zombie Canelo who was still green. Khan fought a 155lb who was probably 175lbs on the night experienced Canelo. Big difference.

He couldn't do it. He himself said he watched Floyd and Lara vs Canelo to see what he could implement into his game and.................................. we saw what happened. I just think his corner telling him to stick to what he doing for 12 rounds was wrong advise. He needed to throw hard and fast combination so canelo would think twice about throwing bombs and left hooks. Because khan was boxing and running, it allowed canelo to chase him and hunt him down. That is the reason why majority of people predicted a knockout becuase they knew canelo would catch him eventually. Khan cant sustain running for 12 rounds he doesnt have the legs and always makes costly mistakes. Khan needed to show canelo his boxing skills early and throw hard combination stay close to the pocket and he would be more composed instead of running for his life for 12 rounds. Im a khan fan but as soon as canelo starting throwing wild left hooks it was obvious he would eventually catch him. Canelo had no respect for khans speed power or boxing skills and thats why he knocked him out. Floyd used his boxing skills and agression to intimate canelo, if Khan has used his speed and power he could have intimated canelo becuase he struggles against fast boxers. Khan was obviously way faster than canelo early he should have taken advantage of it more.

he was doing everything right in there, he was up against a bigger stronger fighter, it was only a matter of time till he got caught i was impressed by how he fought, he has shown some improvements, not as reckless as he was under roach, i liked his movement. he'll be tough to beat in a rematch with garcia. his power is suited for 147

Khan doesn't have the power or durability to handle Canelo. He weighed 161 lbs on fight night (per him), while Canelo was probably around 170-175 as per usual. The thing is, Canelo is a natural big boy and Khan is best suited for 140-147 range.

You're forgetting the part where Khan can do none of those things. Floyd doesn't need to run or give ground because he can stand in the pocket and trade with counters...he also has quite the amazing inside game..and outside...and mid range.. Hits harder...better chin...accuracy..brain... :/ Basically he'd have to be better at being Canelo than Canelo was being...and that's impossible for Khan. Canelo outlanded him by a fair deal and was the superior being.
