How much time does he need?
First time he got sparked out was 2008 we are now in 2016 he's been sparked out twice since and had 3 trainers since.
Like Virgil said all his trainers fell in love with his speed and never addressed the basic fundamentals he would require against the top fighters. Virgil is the only trainer he has had who is trying to do this. But because he's been ingrained with deep flaws for pretty much all his career Hunter will need a lot of time to help Khan expel those flaws.

I was arguing with someone in another thread claiming all he has to do is learn basic head movement. My stance is it's too late for him to do any of that. That's what he knows, and what he'll always revert to.
A good chin would not have saved him last night. That punch was so devastating that even the best chins ever like LaMotta and Chavez would have gone down. It was vicious
If he had a granite chin like a true granite chin which can take full flush shots then he'd obviously be unbeatable. The problem is not that, its his lack of concentration and moments of poor ring IQ. You rarely ever see top Elite fighters get hit so flush like Khan has time and time again. He has some deep flaws that need addressing but that takes time.

He'd be harder to beat but at the end of the day he'd still have an extremely low boxing IQ, and poor defense and the same predictable style of fighting.
The fact his chin is piss poor just seems unfair.
Yep. Pretty much he would just lose some of the fights he was stopped in by decision instead, or get knocked out later from eating too many hard counters.
Khan's chin is far from his only problem. It's a shame no one taught him what to do with all that speed besides throw punches fast.
that shot would have floored any WW, he could have had a iron jaw, same result
you drop your hands like that, and give that kind of space to Canelo, it's lights out
he was taking all the other shots well, but he saw them coming, and his hands were up for the most part
its the one you don't see coming

Remember those arm flurries that he threw against Collazo and Alexander? The ones some people raved about?
Those are what gets Khan into trouble. Those average opponents get hit with those shots, the higher level guys time those shots and catch Khan with his hands out of position.
A good chin would see him last a little longer, but his lack of IQ and sloppy punches would still see him knocked out.
Kausing Much Damage?
Where would he be if he had a good chin
If he had a good chin I say he would out speed most fighters and beat Floyd Mayweather or any 147 to 154
He would be much much harder to beat, but because of his poor boxing IQ, bad footwork, and the fact that his chin is always easy to touch, he'd just get punchy quicker.

A good chin wouldn't have saved you from that Garcia left hook or Canelo right hand
The bodyshots were the first phase...Khan slowed significantly after taking big bodyshots from a naturally bigger man.
Just a good chin right, it just has to be good chin right? He'd have the same stoppage/ knockout losses on his resume.
...because of the way he fights. He looked good when he was pumping the jab, but that didn't stop him from throwing sloppy ill-timed flurries. He was bound to get caught because he gets caught in every fight.
Any WW-MW gets caught with a right like that from Canelo, it's at least a solid KD, most likely sleepytime.
Canelo has never even fought a MW :lol1: how would you know?
Khan's problem wasn't the chin, it was boxing skills. He started quick, faded a bit and got KTFO, just like he always does.
