Tyson was contractually obligated to fight in a rematch with Klitschko should Klitschko choose to enforce it.... Tyson did not have a choice. The IBF knew this, yet they did not inform Tyson, should he win the belt and have an immediate rematch with Klitschko, he would lose the belt. If Tyson knew this was going to be the case, do you think he would have still paid the sanctioning fee? Of course he wouldn't, he would have just paid the fees for the other belts and let Klit hold onto the IBF belt, which he could have then won in the rematch. It was underhand by the IBF to accept Fury as a challenger (and accept his money), knowing full well he would not be allowed to defend the belt.
He voluntarily chose to sign the contract with the rematch clause. He could have easily fought him without options, by enforcing either the WBA or WBO mandatory, but probably be paid less. Tyson chose more money, which is fair considering he wasnt sure he'd win. If things went to plan, with Wlad winning, nothing would have changed.
It's the IBF, so it's expected in my book. They're still the same scumbag organisation as when Bob Lee was at the helm. I'm also pretty sure that they're still taking brides as well. Every fighter has fans and supporters that will say anything in defense of their guy, but I can guarantee that you can't find a single person that would say that Kevin Bizier should have been the mandatory to Kell Brook. Someone please explain that one for me.

This is his sh#tty promoter and managers fault.
You have to pay the fee regardless for the title belt. Reports show that Fury ''chose'' the rematch. A true rematch clause is a benefit where you don'T need to choose. If it was a true rematch clause, prework signing would have already been done, and commentaries would've said, ''if Klitschko shall lose this bout, he automatically gets a rematch with the Brit...'' Just like if Nelo loses to Khan, Nelo automatically gets a rematch.
Truth is there was no time for such a camp about a month away and I'm sure Fury just wanted to relax, and beating Klitschko outweighs any priority for Glazkov, so I don't know why people are making this a big deal. You win some you löse some.

I don't get it. The IBF is always a straight forward council. He didn't face his mandatory. He won that belt, it's in the books, he chose the rematch, and will get paid lovely. What's the big deal. It's a shame he would want to retire early.. the Heavyweight seasons are soon to blossom again. He's still fast and good.
The IBF knew he was contractually obligated to face Klitschko again should he win the IBF title, yet instead of informing him that if he should win the belt, he would be stripped instantly for having to face Klitschko again, not facing the mandatory challenger immediately, they decided not to say anything of the sort to him, and instead just accept his sanctioning fee, knowing full well he would be unable to defend the belt and would get stripped a week later. If you don't think that is BS and that the IBF is an honest organisation, you are crazy.
Good video. Everybody who knows an inch about boxing knows Tyson is the true heavyweight champion of the world. It is a shame that these boxing politics seem to be affecting and depressing Tyson to the point where he is considering quitting. Let's be honest, I don't think Tyson is being treated poorly because he is a Gypsy traveller, I think it is because he doesn't fit the bill. He is not a straight cut, athletic, handsome guy who says the right things... and in the business of making money, these things are held in high regard. The ABC sanctioning bodies see Tyson as a maverick and a risk, and they would much rather have their titles in the hands of someone like AJ, who appeals heavily to the casual fans and does and says the right things for the camera.
Every boxing fan in the world needs to listen to this shocking video

Awesome!! Too much honest for fanboys!
